Easy to install if you know what you're doing

Many reviews suggest that the instructions are incorrect. That's not true. The problem is that there are a variety of uses for this switch/outlet, and it depends on what you're trying to do. Some people want the switch to be a switch for this outlet; others want the switch to operate something completely different. And what about downstream (the "load" side)? Do you want those outlets/devices protected against ground faults or not? Do you want them to be switched or not?
Bottom line is that there are quite a few setups this switch/outlet combo can be used for, and each one will be wired differently. If you don't know the difference between line and load, read up on what a GFCI outlet is or hire an electrician. The instructions provided ARE CORRECT, but only for a couple different scenarios.
And just a quick heads up: the switch, by default, is NOT wired to the outlet. It might as well be two separate items, a switch and an outlet. If you want the switch to turn power to the outlet on and off, you'll need to wire it as such.
