4.0 out of 5 stars Assembly requires three miracles, two phenomena, an act of God and the blood of Jesus. Good luck.
By WillsReviewz on July 7, 2017
Take my advice, as a grandpa who has assembled lots of hist in my life, read all the instructions before you start. Watch their YouTube video how-to assemble. This car is cute but you will need an engineering degree from MIT along with a team of tool experts to put this together. My curse vocab expanded during the construction phase. I was cursing China until I saw Made in America on the box. Do yourself a favor, watch the video before you buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Assembly is NUTS!
By Heidi Billington on March 27, 2017
Omgosh! The installation in this thing is RIDICULOUS! I'm going to be blunt here, I'm normally really good at stuff like this. I can assemble things with no problem--I actually like it! But not this. I can't even tell you how many pieces there were! Okay, the steering wheel alone was five pieces. You had to hammer and drill and honestly, it's a bit much for a kid toy. Many of the things could've been preassembled and the box would've been the same size. Idk who thought it was a good idea to give a parent of a child 1.5-5 a toy that requires so much assembly! It took me over an hour to put it all together...I can't even imagine how long it would take someone who wasn't particularly good at this sort of stuff, so, the car itself is wonderful butthe assembly is just a bit crazy!

1.0 out of 5 stars YOU NEED POWER DRILL AND SANDPAPER
By Kady on July 7, 2020
Nowhere in the product description did it mention the fact that this requires a power drill to assemble. I did it without, but it sure was a pain to force the screws into the plastic. Absolute nightmare to put together. It was wrapped horribly in tape that left sticky residue all over the plastic. The plastic is also terrible quality and at the seams, it is SHARP. I’m going to have to sand it down for the safety of my child considering I gashed my finger open on it. The door also does not line up and will not close unless you shove it hard. I am personally not impressed whatsoever, however my toddler absolutely loves this toy. If it had been of better quality and actually lined up without being unnecessarily difficult to put together, it would have been worth the $50 I spent on it.

**Edit**
Within 24 hours, the horn came out and is now broken. I’m going to have to file a claim because of how awful this product is.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the assembly time
By Lynn C. on December 27, 2020
I spent over 2 hours to put it together and still working on the wheels. I am very good with puzzles and putting things together but this is ridiculously hard. The manual is in black and white and there are so many little pieces that look nothing like in the manual. There are 2 versions of this; new and old. I think I have old version with new manual version. Which is so confusing. I also watched YouTube trying to figure this thing out but stuck on putting the wheels together. Maybe I’ll return this half installed like this. Also, I noticed that I received the item in a carton box with black print while other YouTube person has his in a colored box. The picture I included to show the red screw head that is still sticking out no matter how hard I pounded on it. It’s sharp. Not safe for kids. I do not recommend this item.

So first off, do not buy from Amazon or this seller. It’s an actual piece of rubbish! Here’s why...
1. I was clearly sent a defected car that had been previously assembled and disassembled by another customer (marks and dirt on it, some of the pieces had dog hit on it??)
2. Absolute pain in the butt to put together because pieces are warped and do not fit together properly.
3. Pieces of the roof aren’t made properly so nothing is flush against the car - leaves massive gaps so little ones can get their fingers trapped - massive health and safety concern.
4. When contacted Amazon about it they were useless - even sent them photos of warped pieces or dirty marks on the car and they won’t help me unless I return it in box - i explained I can’t disassemble it again because the screws won’t come out (it’s hard because there are no screw holes, you just drill in to the plastic casing)
5. I was back and forth with Amazon for about an hour, passed from one person to another and it’s got to the point I just can’t be bothered anymore so the car is going in the bin and I’ll just get a replacement from the official little tikes website.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.
