1.0 out of 5 stars Has double-click problem after 22 months of use
By JJ on May 31, 2020
Purchased this in July 2018. Now it's May 2020 and I'm getting the dreaded double-click problem common in Logitech mouses. The mis-clicks initially started by failing to keep the click down when highlighting text; it would give out part-way, highlighting less than I wanted. The frequency of this gradually increased, and then it started double-clicking when I single-clicked. I tried cleaning the internal components, but it still persists. The product only has a 1-yr warranty so I can't make a claim. The mouse switches used are Omron D2FC-F-7N(10M), made in China. It is only rated at 10 million clicks, and apparently for me I reached that limit after 22-months. I'm very disappointed because I bought this to replace a VX Nano which also suffered from the double-click problem. Given that the release dates between the two were 8 years apart, I thought they must have fixed the problem. Nope. Why is this a common problem now? I've never had this issue with old ball-mice from the 90s.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Improvement over first generation MX Anywhere
By D. Pellegrini on April 25, 2017
I really like this mouse. Replaces my previous Anywhere MX mouse - which I also really liked.

This one is lighter than the original Anywhere MX (mostly because it no longer needs two heavy AA batteries) and can be run via the USB Unifying nub - or Bluetooth. Bluetooth is important if you have a newer laptop that does not include the larger format USB plugs.

You cannot remove the batteries - like the larger MX Master - you need to plug it in to charge. For frequent travelers who may not always have replacement batteries in their bag (or that do not like the idea of needing to carry extra batteries) - being able to just plug the mouse in with a light / portable wire to charge seems like an improvement. Also like the MX Master - you can set and remember up to 3 different Bluetooth or unifying driver devices. Handy if you have a tablet and a laptop or another setup where you might be able to use the mouse across multiple devices.

One slight negative over the first generation Anywhere MX - the on/off switch is not nearly as easy to toggle. On the older model it was a large switch you could quickly hit easily with your thumb - and without looking. The new version's switch is tiny, much harder to turn on and off - if you are doing that frequently.

[Update 26 April 2017]
Added some photos comparing the new to the old. The newer one is the white/stone color - older is black.
