Update on Performance - Apr 2020: I had bought a second mouse before I knew how bad the M331 design was and though it doesn't have the scroll malfunction that the first one had, it has another problem -- regardless of the level of pointer speed set in Logitech Options, the pointer is very hard to control. It runs all over the screen even with slight mouse movement. This continues until I open the Options app - only then it settles at the set speed. Another design flaw of M331 - Logitech really cut corners with this model.

Update on warranty claim - Jan 2020: It's been 2+ months since I deposited my faulty mouse at Logitech service center and there is neither a replacement available nor a refund from Logitech despite my regular follow-up. My advice to potential customers is to stay away from this mouse.

Update on performance - Oct 2019 (Usage over 10 months)
Pros:
1. Silent - the clicks are soft and silent. The clicking sound is only audible if the mouse is held close to the ear.
2. Ergonomic - lightweight, easy to hold and move around. The textured grips make it easy to use for long duration.
3. Affordable - Rs 999 during last sale.
Cons:
1. The receiver is not unifying though the mouse itself can be paired with a unifying receiver from another mouse.
2. Scroll wheel malfunction - the scrolling is not uniform anymore. It doesn't scroll or slows down a lot and the page goes in the opposite direction for a few seconds frequently. From the start, scroll wheel was rough, suitable only for slow scrolling. The low quality scroll wheel is the Achilles heel of this mouse.
3. Mouse clicks have become louder though still much less audible than regular mice.
4. As per Logitech warranty T&C, they arbitrarily decide whether the replacement will be a new product or a refurbished one. The customer who not only invested in their product, suffered due to its premature malfunction & now has to waste time by taking it to their walk-in-center, has no say in this decision. There is also no guarantee that a replacement will be available when the customer walks in.

Decent overall but feels flimsy

Back in 1997, I bought my first cordless mouse from Logitech—and it was the splendour of my entire home. Those clicks, those buttons, that grip. That mouse lasted until 2013—16 years!

I bought this model in 2017. It was good. It got bad by 2019. [Two years.] So I bought another a few months ago.

It moves nicely; the button click is almost perfect (just the right amount of press plus just the right level of sound). But it doesn't feel SOLID. It feels like "When is this going to get spoilt? When do I have to budget for the next mouse?

Well, all tech stuff from phones to laptops to mice to adapters now makes you throw out your money every one or two years. But still, Logitech remains above the rest. [I've been using computers since 1986.]

My rating is because of the left button: Vibrate your finger and the button vibrates. Unforgivable. Unthinkable 15 years ago.

Hi, if you guys want a mouse, I could not ask for better. I had a few worries when looking to buy a mouse and this mouse had none of them:

1. I am used to a 6 year old Microsoft blutrack Mouse and was worried I wouldn't like the layout.

2. I was worried the silent clicking would feel like I wasn't clicking.

3. The smallest doubt that wireless wasn't the way to go – THIS MOUSE is the perfect shape, I switch between different mouses daily and have no adjusting concerns – further, the clicking has a perfect small sound and it's very tactile – then further, wireless IS the way to go, this mouse is known for its battery life, and being wireless, it functions the same response wise (just without the annoying cord).

Anyway, this is what I would have hoped to read before buying this mouse.
