Good wireless mouse that works with LG Smart Television sets.

All I had to do was plug in the dongle to an available USB plug on the Smart TV and it recognized it right away and started working. I liked it so much I bought a couple more and put them on other Smart TVs as well. I have never lost connection, except for the time when the batteries were dying, and the TV finds it immediately. There are many wireless mice but many of them will not work with Smart TVs since the TV has to recognize the mouse to work. I tried a Dell wireless mouse first and the TV never saw it but when I plugged in this wireless Logitech M185 mouse to my Smart TV it worked flawlessly.

PROS:
- Recognized by LG Smart TVs
- Has switch on bottom of mouse to turn it on/off if you want battery to last longer
- I've left the mouse on for months and the batteries last a good long time
- Works with rechargeable batteries (uses 2 AA)
- Good range (using from 15 feet away without a glitch)
- Allows me to read emails, newspaper, etc on my TV

CONS:
- No indicator when batteries get low, you know simply by having to move mouse closer to TV to work or it doesn't work at all

For its very low price point, it’s hard to beat this comfy and responsive Logitech mouse.

We’ve come a long way: it wasn’t all that long ago when cordless mice were in the $89-99 price range. I still have—and use—an $89 Logitech mouse I purchased a number of years ago. But the far more inexpensive ($13) Logitech model that I’m reviewing is just as comfortable and just as responsive as its expensive ancestor. (The more expensive ancestor has more buttons and a wheel—that is, more functionality—but I very seldom use those extra buttons. Who does, come to think of it? lol)

Virtually all of what I could say about this inexpensive mouse has already been described (many times over) in the 4- and 5-star reviews. Frankly I would prefer a mouse with a little more weight, but with such a low price tag and with such great responsiveness, how can I complain? This is a darn good mouse produced by one of the industry’s leaders. I highly recommend it. Don’t let its “cheap” price fool you. Cheap (low cost) doesn’t always mean cheap (low quality).

If time and/or wear and tear in any way prove otherwise, I WILL update this review asap. But so far, it’s a keeper.

Ordered this mouse to partner with my Acer laptop. Works just perfectly. I gotta have a mouse since I'm working on the computer all day for work, but also at home. This is the perfect size! Not too small like several others I've had in the past. No grips on the side, but ideal for what I needed. Fits my hand just fine either way. It's a dark gray on top, light gray around the middle, and black on the bottom. Comes with a battery already - THANKS! I love the wireless feature, and the port is really small that fits in the computer, doesn't stick out and get in the way. Also, I use the middle scroll button A LOT, it's a must have feature. And I like to open a lot of tabs, which all you have to do is click down on the scroll button to do so. Very convenient and ideal for me :) Glad I purchased this one!

Lightweight and fast

I was looking for a lighter mouse because the current mouse I have (Eastern Times Technology D-09) is a tad too bulky and heavy for me (my hands aren't very big) and it started to freeze/lag about 4 months into its use which affected my gaming and general use. This one (the M185) is working well so far. The reason I selected this model to replace the current one was because I had a M185 in the past and it lasted quite a while and was the perfect mouse for my needs back then. I was worried they may have changed it since I last bought the mouse, but it feels just as good and seems to move so fast (maybe because I'm used to the current one's speed). I also love how lightweight the mouse is. The lightness and size were really my only goals when looking for a new mouse, so for me, this mouse fits my needs exactly and the speed/response of the mouse is an added bonus.
I'll update if it ends up having problems later into its use, but for now it gets 5 stars.

I've dropped this mouse far too many times, with each time fearing it had broken. Over 30 times onto a hard floor over time and it still works perfect. With ample use, the battery after a year have only been changed 1 SINGLE TIME. I purchased 2200mh rechargable batteries a few years back that have been an instrument to my daily life just as this mouse has been. I've owned serval wireless mouse setup's & this model surpasses them all. I have had this exact same model for years before purchasing this replacement. In fact I got my old mouse back & it still works just a great as this one. That mouse has been dropped even more and been in more hands. I'm going to stay faithful to M185s since they have been such a non issue staple to my life and rough housing of computer's.

M185 mouse is *significantly* lighter than prior similar versions in the Logitech bargain mouse line. Also, it is a bit lower in mound height, which (to me) rests much easier under the palm for long periods of time.

As others have pointed out, the radio nub for the laptop/pc end is stowed inside the mouse's battery compartment. The only visual tip off is a white sticker with an arrow symbol pointing inside, inviting the new user to open the bottom cover. (Like; who reads instructions for A MOUSE?) To the point: the provided radio nub is quite unobtrusive, but look for it just to the right of the battery and there is the black rectangular top end of the nub. You pluck it out and plug it into a computer's USB port. Most computers will automagically detect it and install the right driver within seconds.

As a bargain mouse this product is tops! The ergonomics are about as good as it gets, including button-click response, tracking accuracy, and radio contact between mouse and nub. The scrolling wheel is a little flimsy, but not in a way that will detract from the 'user experience'.

Excellent Basic Wireless Mouse - Good For Most People's Computing Needs

This is a great, basic wireless mouse. I appreciate that the dongle is compact. It doesn't protrude from the computer (other than about half an inch) and it fits inside the casing for travel. It's not a travel-sized mouse - it's a regular mouse - but this feature makes it portable.

There's a simple scroll wheel, and the standard right and left click buttons. It works smoothly and doesn't skip (I use a mouse pad designed for wireless mice to reduce the 'drag' - this might also help).

The mouse came in an 'easy open' clam pack - which meant I didn't scythe off my thumb trying to get it open like with regular clam shell packaging (Logitech's small but surprisingly meaningful attention to detail here).

Logitech claims the battery will last about one year. That's a great claim. It does come with a tab that you pull out of the battery casing - this safeguard makes it already better than most basic mice's batteries. There's an on-off switch on the bottom of the mouse, and it enters 'sleep' mode to conserve battery life.

In sum, there's nothing that this mouse is really lacking for the average computer user. The Logitech name means quality - I see they even have a 3 year warranty (unsure of its limitations, if any, as I've not read the fine print). If anything changes, I'll update this review. But so far, so great!

I needed to replace my mouse, but I don't need anything fancy, just needs to function well on a vinyl sofa arm or ottoman and this one does perfectly. It says it has sleep mode, but I can never tell, because the moment I touch it, it functions. I have been using it regularly for about a month and I have had no issues. I sit across the room from my laptop, where it is plugged in and it runs very smooth and quick. I would have liked if it had been unifying with my keyboard, to save on USB ports, but I have never had a mouse do that, so it was not a big deal for me.
Overall, I am very pleased with this mouse and if I ever need another and this one is available, I wouldn't hesitate to get it again. That is, of course, if it continues to functions for a good long time!
