Quick and Easy Red Velvet Cupcakes

INGREDIENTS:

1 standard boxed chocolate or devil's food cake mix*
2 tablespoons LorAnn Red Velvet Bakery Emulsion (Adds color and flavor! No additional coloring is necessary)

*Traditional red velvet cake has a chocolate note, but LorAnn's Red Velvet emulsion works great when added to a white or yellow boxed cake mix as well. Quick Red Velvet cake & cupcake recipe using LorAnn Oils Red Velvet Bakery Emulsion.

Directions

I can’t say enough about these bakery emulsions! I not only use them in baking, which really is a game changer, I’ve also started making my own flavorings with them by adding them to liquid sucralose and saves me TONS of money and calories! I make a cinnamon roll flavoring by combining maple extract with cinnamon emulsion and sucralose to add to coffee, tea, Greek yogurt, protein shakes, even egg whites, as crazy as that may sound! I use the cream cheese one to make a “protein frosting” with Greek yogurt and sugar free pudding mix. Pumpkin spice latte lovers anyone? Yep, they work for that too and can save you 100s of calories by making your PSL yourself at home. I’m sure I’ll come up with even more uses for them as time goes on. I absolutely LOVE these emulsions!!

These flavor emulsions are very strong and deliciously flavored. I use them primarily to make homemade iced coffees and the flavors of these oils are unrivaled. Since they are so intense, I only have to use about half the amount that I would use of other extracts. The butter vanilla is probably my favorite, but hey are all delicious in their own way. I look forward to trying more lorann emulsions and extracts in the very near future!
