This chair was manufactured backwards. Most chairs reline backwards from an upright position. The one inreceived reclines forward from an upright position, so it feels like thr chair is spitting you out. The only answer is to forego thenrecliming but that doesn't help much. I tried to assemble but thr hex holes were so shallow and thr metalmso cheap that they stripped on the first try. On top of that, the back is not fully filled with cushioning so the fabric sags. The seat is so short that it comes up to the upper thigh. You have to push your feet against something in order to stay in the chair because your legs won't be supported unless your maybe 5'3" or shorter. This chair is not sold by Amazon, so I'm stuck trying to convince some third-party office supply company to refund my money on a defective chair that i can't assemble. I feel totally abandoned by Amazon. I just want my money back. If thr want to pick up the chair as is, that's great. But I've dealt with enough third party dealers on various websites to know it usually takes a fight. I was hoping Amazon would fight for me. Also, note that thr arms are not removable if that's what you had been looking for in a chair. Bottom line - do not by this chair.
Update - Dealing with the comaony and Amazon to get a refund was maddening. The seller's customer service rep hung up on me and the Amazon reps couldn't keep their story straight, made me repeat myself on each of the half dozen or so calls I made, promised me rounds and then renegged, until I spoke with a supervisor who took charge and fixed things. But be careful when buying from third parties; Amazon my not have your back and you may end up dealing with folks who hang up on you
