Incredible movie, GREAT eye for detail

From color inclusivity, to the change in Will's surrounding when experiencing a depressive episode, down to only HALF of his hair being taken out when going through it? The attention to detail is incredible! I pray that anyone actually experiencing this moment, be it in life, or in their personal career? Takes a moment to reevaluate their surroundings and make sure the people around you actually care about your well-being, not just money.

The movie was phenomenal.

Beautiful story, music, and art!!!!

I loved this movie so much I had to review it. This is a love song to the R&B I grew up on. The messaging also reminds me of the gospel play circuit. I’m so inspired and impressed. The story was tight, the acting was great, and the attention to beautiful lighting (all the shades of brown skin popped in this movie!) and black art throughout kept my eyes locked to the screen. The director’s story is an inspiration to all who know they can do all things through YouTube, which strengthens and democratizes art making. This is random, but the jazz throughout was very much giving me 90s Spike Lee. I could (and will) watch this over and over. Thank you for putting this into the world! What a gift!

Great Story, Amazing Music!

Wow! The acting was fantastic, the story - whew, I wasn't expecting that switch up with Rodney/Ki but now I know why he always wore shades (SHADY!!!!!!). The music. Wow. Every single song. Will be getting the album. The vocals - incredible! Songwriting - on point! The story! I loved the way the music was incorporated - seamless but fit the story without being cheesy! The score - loved it! We are total jazz-heads so we are in love with the score; loved the composition! Great message! Kudos to the whole team! Been following Christina since Single & Anxious! Keep going - all the way up!

Great story for an indie film!

I love when a great story is told with a low budget indie film. Great message of success, pain, and self evolution. My only issue is the N word was used unnecessarily. That is my biggest pet peeve with Black films.

Good movie. The message is there and there are a few backdrops that could have been improved. It did feel kind of rushed at the end, but this was a movie that the director could have taken his time with, but overall it's okay.

I love the writer/director's take on a musical. It is a romantic story with an inspiring message. The characters were relatable and well thought out.
