Directions

Directions for Use: It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Read the entire label before using this product. To Open Child Resistant Cap: Hold bottle firmly with one hand on a flat surface. With other hand, squeeze sides of cap where indicated while turning counterclockwise. Do not remove cap. Avoid squeezing bottle when opening. To reseal, twist cap clockwise until tightly closed. To Clean, Disinfect & Sanitize: Raise toilet seat. Flush bowl and remove heavy soiled by scrubbing with a stiff brush prior to using this product. Point top of bottle down into bowl. Squeeze gently, at least 4 oz (squeeze approximately 15 seconds) of the thick formula under the rim and on the sides of the bowl, letting it run down into the water. Do not close toilet bowl lid.

I've been using the blue Lysol Toilet Bowl cleaner, but haven't been able to get it in months on my subscribe and save. Figured I'd try this. It smells awesome, but doesn't clean at all like the other. I really was shocked. It has no effect on the ring at the water level or the stains under the rim. I'll finish what I've got. Hopefully, it at least kills germs like they say. I absolutely will NOT buy this product again. I don't understand the good reviews. Give me back the blue!

I've been using Lysol for many years for toilet cleaning, and it's never failed to get the job done quickly and properly. It's great for getting out hard water stains, as well as overall sanitizing of the bowl. I usually use the blue version (which I think they call the original version) and, while pleased with the cleaning ability, the scent was not all that great. It has a rather "industrial" scent. In contrast, this version offers the same level of cleaning, but has a more pleasant scent. Win-win situation!

Here’s the thing. I’m used to the Clorox version. You do not need to scrub anything with it. That is what I was looking for. This Lysol brand will clean most of the bowl but it doesn’t get the water ring at all. Your gonna have to pull out the brush. I’m lazy so the Clorox works better for me. The Lysol smells a lot better though because there isn’t any bleach. The Clorox is great also to bleach the grout in your shower Anyways. Lysol toilet bowl cleaner works and smells good but your gonna have to scrub a little.

I’m a fan of Lysol products. While this bowl cleaner doesn’t do the job that the power cleaner does, it works very well and is easy to use. I use it once a week, more if necessary. You don’t necessarily have to do this, but it works for me: I turn off the water supply to the toilet and flush to to empty the bowl, then apply the cleaner at the top of the bowl so it reaches the underside of the bowl’s rim (aim well!) to allow it to run down the sides. I leave it to do its magic for 10 or 15 minutes, then brush the bowl. Turn the water supply back on; flush, brush around the bowl some more, flush again for fresh, unsoapy water; rinse the brush in it and, voilà, the bowl is clean and smells fresh. I’m sure this cleaner works if you don’t turn off the water supply, but our water mineralizes and tends to leave a ring, so the process of turning off the water works best for me. Love this product. About once a month I use the Lysol power cleaner to get rid of whatever stubborn ring might have formed. It seems to work harder to really get the toilet bowl clean. If, by chance, there is still a ring, I use a pumice stick to get it erased. Ring be gone!

Jel is weaker than expected

First on the gel. This product is not much of a gel. It is runny. It should gel inside the toilet bowl. It is not like water however to be fair. Still it does not deserve the 10X rating as a gel. How well does it clean? My toilet was cleaned by a different mechanical product. I would say if you do not have a toilet ring, due to perhaps hard water, it does clean. I expect now that I mechanically cleaned the toilet, this gel will keep it cleaned. I do not notice a smell at all. It is very easy to use.

Best cleaner for the commode

I use a lot of this; the dogs insist on opening the lid to the commode, so when I use it, I scrub it out afterwards and flush three times to remove traces of the cleanser. Also, the guest bath has the worst flow, plus it's really nice to keep it sparkling for guests.

The scent is tolerable; I'm not a fan of strong fragrance, and the gel does a very good job. For all the ones I've tried, I think this is the best on the market. It won't remove tough stains like rust, however. For that I have a pumice stone on a wand.

I really recommend a gel formula cleaner. It cleans much more thoroughly and does most of the work for you.
