We bought this for our two year old son with the hopes he can use for years. Height is great. He is over 2 and a half feet tall and cannot reach the top of the easel so there's room for growth.
Assembly was fairly easy. I suggest slightly tightening the screws until you have the main base built out so you can level the legs. My first atempt left the easel rocking. Be careful. I have this easel on a carpetted area and my two year old likes to lean. The easel will tip over.
Another tip: the whiteboard side came with a plastic wrap that covered fhe board entirely. It was not clear that it was present so when we went to draw on it and erase, it was bad. The markers barely worked and erasing left smudges that would not disappear. Luckily, while wiping hard, a hole formed and I realized the whiteboard was wrapped. Undoing the wrap made a world of difference. Markers worked smoothly and erased cleanly.
The letter/number magnets are not the best so they do not stay oriented correctly when placed on the whiteboard. Some of the letters will not stay standing.
