A deeply personal and compassionate look inside a widely misrepresented group of people
Documentaries like this are an important step forward in helping people understand what it means to be young and trans. While it's easy for people to build opinions based on ignorance and prejudice, it's harder to hold those opinions when you're faced with someone's humanity.

The experiences of Jane are explored with integrity and conscience, avoiding the common media tropes of playing up issues of controversy and exploiting their subjects for shock value.

In the end we have a deeply humanizing examination of a young trans woman, and perhaps more importantly for the audience, the reactions and struggles of her extremely compassionate and accepting parents.

There is important honesty here, that I would urge people to approach with a mind free from established judgements and prejudices.

There is beautiful humanity understanding here, but it will only be found by those willing to give it a legitimate and fair chance.

Required viewing
Jane’s story is empowering, inspiring and is certainly worth watching, no doubt. But it’s the love and support of her family that must be shared with the world as an example of how we should be. Beauty comes in many forms from
this doc, but the wisdom and perspective that Jane’s family shares with us is what should be required viewing for all humans. This is exactly how we should embrace each other’s differences and celebrate them. Listen to these amazing people. We will all be better off for it.

Inspiring and important
Inspiring, insightful, and impactful docuseries that everyone should watch and could learn from. Jane and her family give voice to the LGBTQ community and teach us all what the love and support of your family can do for the happiness of each individual member. Each episode became progressively more emotional and delved deeper into the importance of love and acceptance. It is at times heartbreaking to watch knowing that so many in the LGBTQ community are living without this support from the ones who are supposed to love them unconditionally. As a parent, this is what I strive for: to create an environment in my home that makes my children feel safe and unconditionally loved. Jane and her family exhibit a strength that is inspiring.

Garbage
Another attempt in a long line to normalize and indoctrinate society on the terrible psychological condition of gender dysphoria. What they never talk about is what leads to this condition which is sexual abuse often at such a young age they cannot remember or it was so terrible it is a suppressed event. In some cases it is a lack of the same sex role model and so they role model after opposite sex. In other cases it is a purposeful act on the part of a caregiver to basically lead the usually infantile individual into a state of believing they are the opposite sex. They should really pay attention however to the first which is sexual abuse at an early age and not white wash that aspect. These individuals are more than likely a victim with society giving a pass to the perpetrators and even encouraging the continued abuse cycle since those abused tend to abuse, as is evidenced by the fact almost all pedophiles were abused by a pedophile and it is almost assured that is what happened to these individuals. Complete garbage that that aspect is not mentioned in this indoctrination of acceptance of pedophiles.

Incredibly touching movie
I can't tell you how soulful, powerful, and beautiful of a movie this is. Throughout watching it I said to myself numerous times how different our world would be if each child in the world were to be blessed to have been brought up in a home such as the home, Jane, was brought up in. Truly, the parents are AMAZING, loving, doting parents to each of their children. As are Jane's sisters and her incredible grandfather. Just a wonderfully touching movie about a young woman who is smart, talented, passionate, and who happens to be transgender. An incredible touching, movie that was beautifully done. I can't recommend it enough.
