I have the Munchkin Arm and Hammer diaper pail from about two years ago and would order the arm and hammer diaper pail bags that were originally blue. I searched Amazon to buy again, but instead these orange bags kept showing up instead of the blue. I was worried they stopped making the type of refill bags that I need, but I ordered these since the description said they would work on my diaper pail. Very happy when they arrived to see that they fit like a glove, just like the blue bags!

Shameful and greedy price ramp up for these bags. Have you noticed how Munchkin Diaper pail bags are ridiculous expensive and/or hard to find lately? They're about $1 a bag, that's ridiculous! Well, their greed backfired in my case because I worked out a way to use regular garbage bags. They work even better because they can be scented and are nearly double the size!

1: Take an original munchkin bag and tear the bag off the blue ring. All we want is that blue ring, you can throw the bag away.

2: Push a garbage bag (tall kitchen bags work well) through the pail rubber slot at top.

3: Slide the blue ring (from the original munchkin bag) over the top of your garbage bag.

4: Wrap the top of the garbage bag OVER and UNDER the blue ring (to completely encase it) and pop the blue ring into the nubs like you would normally (only this time you have a garbage bag over the top instead of the ring being expose).

5: That's it! When you close the lid, the blue ring will hold the bag in place as the gears spin in to seal off the smelly air. To empty the bag just open the side door like normal and pull the bag out, separating it from the blue ring. Keep the blue ring for the next garbage bag and repeat!

Tall kitchen bags are about a nickel each, and since they hold twice as much this means they cost FORTY TIMES less than the munchkin bags right now. We used to go through 15 bags a month, the savings will really add up.

I have been very happy with our Munchkin diaper pail and learned early on how to reduce plastic waste and save money with these refill bags. My son turns 1 year old today and we just opened our second box of bags last night for the very first time. Our hack to make them last: Toss the pee diapers in a regular small trash bin (like office-sized bin), and use the pail for poo diapers only. The pee diapers dont smell up the room at all, esp if you use a small bin and toss them out about once a week. And the smelly poo diapers are neatly tucked away behind the odor shield of the munchckin bag, the scented pod, and the pail itself. 1 box at $20 a year? Yes, please!

I am an engineer and over analyze everything. When we had our first child, I was the new dad that dreaded poop. Luckily I have overcome that fear. However, we had several different "stink-free" cans and I threw all the others in the trash. The other brands just suck. We had this one brand where the circular lid slides along the horizontal plane of the lid...when it was nearing full, the diapers would essentially hit the d*** lid and smear poop on the backside, putting poop where it can't physically be cleaned. This sucker though, well thought out, easy to change the bag. I highly recommend the version with the step to open. The other one with the manual lid is a bit shorter and when you get poop everywhere, you will need to open the lid with your poopy hands, thus getting poop on the lid.

ALSO, if you subscribe to the bags on Amazon, its by far the cheapest you will be able to find them. I have found that a box of 20 will last us about a 2 months - kids are at day care, so most of the filling happens on the weekends. I have no preference between the donut bags and the preformed bags with the plastic clip, though I think the donut bags might be cheaper. I enjoy the convenience of the preformed bags and I'm too lazy to figure out how to change my Amazon subscription.

This sucker significantly reduces the stink. Remember, there is little way to totally eliminate it the stink, but this is by far the best I have experienced and it is dang close to eliminating it completely. If you are a parent to be, this is your diaper can. If you don't buy this, then just buy a regular old trash can with the step to open feature and save your money. Do not buy any of the other pricey diaper pails!

One of the best decisions I ever made is getting a munchkin pail over one of the other brands. The liners are very reasonable they're a little harder to find in department stores but they're very worth it especially considering the fact that I can get them on Amazon. I highly recommend the subscribe and save. They're very durable they block the scent and they don't break the bank I've been using my. Munchkin pails for about seven years now and they haven't failed me yet! It was an excellent purchase!

So, I thought I was being smart and saving a few bucks by putting a regular white kitchen trash bag into the diaper pail when we ran out of the refills and noticed that these refills are very hard to find since Arm & Hammer is making a NEW kind of diaper pail with bags that DO NOT fit the old one (ugh, thanks a lot). Well... I've had a lot of crappy ideas in my life but that one really takes the cake. You don't know what you got 'til it's gone, and you don't appreciate just how awesome the diaper pail bags are until you are in your little one's room, looking at the adorable child and wondering how something so cute could make something so horrific smelling. My husband and I quickly logged into Amazon and bought these refills. Yes they are a bit pricy, but they are pricy because they ARE WORTH IT!! They are worth their weight in gold. Never again will I try and take the cheap and easy way out. I should stock up on these because who knows how much longer it'll be easy as this to buy the old style diaper pail refills. I bought my diaper pail 3 years ago, it still works fine, and I refuse to buy one of the newer ones just because it's easier to find the bags.

Major Quality Issues for a more expensive, scented product

Really disappointed in these newer orange bags. The lavender scent is overpowering; why is this necessary when there is literally a spot to put baking soda for natural deodorizing? However, if it was only the scent that had changed I would continue to buy the product. The dealbreaker for me was that in my package of 20, almost half of the bags ripped from the plastic ring when I removed them from the diaper pail. This was an extremely rare occurrence with the older blue bags. Some of the bags were partially separated from the ring before even being used! The whole point of the ring is to seal in odours and it’s useless when the bag just immediately detaches from it. Major decrease in quality with these newer bags. Combined with the huge price increase, it’s kind of a slap in the face to be honest. I’ve switched to the generic refill bags.

I am very disappointed to see that I now have to pay the same price that I used to get 30 of the old blue bags for only 20 of the new orange bags. This is ridiculous, and a clear example of why to avoid items that require you to buy refills only from the company. The new scent (the blue bags were scent free) of the orange bags is awful, and stinks up the room that I keep them stored in. Time to start looking for a new pail.

I use to love these when the bags were blue and unscented...now it's orange and has such a gross scent, it's far from lavender and smells more like an outhouse.
If my diaper pail didn't have to use these I would never buy these again, the nursery always has a gross smell from these. I would not recommend this product to anyone, try another brand of pail to avoid having to use these bags
