If you are looking for a full thick tree that resembles a sheared (sculpted) fir tree then this is NOT the tree for you. If however you typically look for a slender tree with more open branch spacing that allows room for a lot of ornaments like we do, then this is a good tree. Yes you can see thru it if there's light behind it, but it looks very realistic IF you take the time to shape the branches one at a time when first setting it up. That took me about 2 hours! Being our first fake tree, I bought it thinking it would be quicker and easier to set up than a real tree, ...I was wrong! At least I don't have to water this, worry about fire, and have the hassle of disposing of it in January! ...and it will pay for itself after a few years of use. This was priced at $163 on Amazon less an extra $50 discount offered on select trees during their Thanksgiving weekend prime deals. Hard to beat $113 one month before Christmas so I pulled the trigger on it, and now that it's up and the work is done I'm happy with it. I do recommend checking the lights on each section before setting it up as the branches are really compacted from the factory. It comes in a large heavy-weight cardboard box that's about 4' long and about 16"x16"wide that weighs 40#. The only problem I had was the base of the top section was about 2" too long which created a noticeable gap that made for extra branch shaping to hide it, or shortening the bottom of the top section. (I chose the latter using a tubing cutter which solved the issue). Overall I'm happy with this tree and it does look real, especially after it's decorated. All my pics were taken before decorating.

I really took my time reading reviews and was hesitant about buying my first artificial tree. This tree was perfect for our small, beach house. I did take my time to get each branch right, but so worth it. Now I need to find a better tree skirt.
