HAIR:
I have straight black and thick asian hair. I put CO on my hair and leave it on for at least 30 min before washing it. This will makes my hair smooth and silky (see pics). If you have an oily scalp, avoid a direct contact with it yet focus on the hair instead. For the first time user, start off with a small amount first. Do not overuse it as it may reduce hair volume (especially if you already have oily hair).
If you dont have time for a hair spa, you can mix the CO with your shampoo and conditioner. I use about 5-10 drops of CO and mix it with my shampoo or cond in my hand. I always leave my mixed conditioner on my hair while brushing my teeth or shaving to allow the CO to penetrate my hair. After rinsing and drying, my hair feels incredible good. No excess oil left on my hair as i would imagine. I have got so many compliments on my hair, too (see photos).
SKIN:
I apply CO on my skin right after shower (before drying your body). Droplets of water will help CO penetrate the skin without feeling greasy. Use can also use CO as a makeup remover, facial toner, and eye cream. It makes my skin feel soft and smooth.
CO is solid at temperatures under 76 F (or <24C). You can directly scoop it out and use it right away as it will easily melt in your hand. Try to use a clean spoon to get the solid CO out to avoid ant contamination. If you need to use the liquid version, simply place the container in a warm water bath. It melts fairly quick, and you can pour it out as needed. If you decide to do it this way, I highly recommend to aliquot the CO to another container (just enough for a single use) before melting as i believe that reheating and cooling many times may degrade the properties of the CO. NEVER microwave the CO as it will deteriorate the oil and cause the yellowing issue.
Note that this brand carries two versions of coconut oil: cold pressed and expeller pressed. Although i cant really differentiate one from the other, Cold pressed is what i prefer and is supposed to be better (according to research studies). When i ordered the cold pressed from amazon last time, i received the expeller pressed instead, so i just want u to be aware of this.
Good luck and hope you will enjoy CO as much as i do.

Update on product itself. The coconut oil is great. I take a teaspoon once a day when feeding the dogs. Taste great. I would recommend the product itself as long as Amazon or seller ships in a box with adequate packing material or the tops will be cracked before you receive it. I ordered a couple more (32oz and 16oz) and they were fine. No cracked tops and not turning yellow.
I would recommend to others.
I purchased it for teeth threading. It tastes really good that I’m tempted to swallow. Didn’t get to find out if the whole threading idea worked coz I stopped at my 3rd try. 30 minutes of swishing the Glob of coconut oil in my mouth was too much work for me. Which also triggers my gag reflexes 😆.
Anyway, I store it in small containers to avoid contamination. One container specifically used for my hair treatment; another container as cuticle softener/moisturizer for hands (I would soften the coconut oil and add a few drops of wild orange). And a third container where I mix a few drops of lavender and peppermint oils, used to massage my freshly washed feet before going to bed. Then put socks on.

I love this stuff. So many uses. It's the only coconut oil I have found that works for everything.
I also mix this with my therapeutic oils and add a little to the ends of my hair along with been and pumpkin oil.
I also use this with cayenne pepper and vodka to make a hair root stimulator. This oil works for everything.
Also great after showers to soften skin. So far this is my favorite brand. I won't use anything else at this point.

Just make sure you buy Organic, unrefined, Extra-Virgin Coconut oil. I hope this helps.

My daughter thought I had lost the plot at first when she read all the recipes you can use it in and she does smell a little like a cookie when she gets out of the shower, but she really doesn't care now as it has been so effective.
Highly recommended for dry, scaly or Keratosis Pilaris

Been using it a free days and the general condition of my skin has definitely improved it doesn't stay greasy too long and doesn't make the bedding smell of coconuts!
Not tried it to eat or cook with- I'm sure it would be lovely though.
But in the piracy side, but it's expensive everywhere for the food quality oil.
