When I saw that this was from the team that brought us the innovative and fun "Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead," I was in immediately. It looked like a hoot. But despite a much higher budget and a larger palette, it was far less satisfying. The effects were great and the casting was on point, but something was lacking. If I could put my finger on it, I'd write my own movie. But while this was an adequate movie with a new twist on an old formula, it felt a little flat. I think the tone was off: There wasn't enough comedy, and what there was didn't feel organic. Still worth a watch.
