4.0 out of 5 starsWhy did it need to be plugged into a motherboard USB header?
Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2020
It's a huge upgrade over what I was using before but why did it need to take up a USB header on my motherboard? It's in a PCIe port. There should be nothing it needs to do that would need anything else, unless TPlink just lazily slapped a USB bluetooth chip onto the board..

1.0 out of 5 starsOut of the box this card gave my computer the blue screen of death/crashes.
Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2020
This product gave me a headache, a blue screen of death, lost about 5 hours of time trouble shooting, and forced me to reinstall Windows after deleting everything. Do not buy. I followed the instructions, like any other PCIe card and installed it. The first problem started when the drivers were apparently blocked. After that the computer blue screened and would not get past the user login screen. I constantly got the blue screens: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. A problem with Netwtw08.sys a system file that has to do with the intel proset wireless drivers. Even upon using safe mode to uninstall the drivers the issue still remained for some reason. So I ended up trying to do a refresh of the system, first using the option that kept my files. It was a no go and I still had the issue, tried to doing a hard reset (after backing up my data in safe mode) by formatting the drive and it still gave me the blue screen. After that I created a Windows 10 usb media creation tool in hopes of reinstalling windows using the usb. After going through the process, my computer would not even post correctly and said that the windows 10 installation failed. And that basically for some reason the computer cannot boot. Lastly, and well this is probably what I should’ve done first is to remove and disconnect the wifi card all together. I did that and went through the process of reformatting my c drive and reinstalling windows and well bingo. It worked and welp now I have to reinstall everything which is gonna be a major waste of time, but at least I can say u have a fresh install of windows now. Out of the box this card crashes my computer.

Here are my some of my general specs for reference:
- ASUS Tuf x570 gaming plus (wifi)
- AMD 3800XT
- ASUS gtx 1080 Strix
- 64 gb of g.skill ddr4 ram

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Card, with dumb setup.

So the card came in this nice packaging, and looked nice with nice and big antennas. I was happy, and i started installing it, and oh boy did my mood change quickly. My computer doesn't have a DVD-ROM player, so i had to use my old wifi card to get it from the site, which was fine. I install the drivers, switch the wifi cards out, and restart my computer. After restarting, it connected to my wifi, but the speeds were so slow, Chrome actually thought i had no internet. So, got out my laptop, used the cd, and put the drivers on a usb stick, only to find out they were the same drivers i found online. Out of desperation, i restarted my computer and all of a sudden, it worked. The speeds are now good, and im satisfied.

5.0 out of 5 stars True Plug and play for windows 10.

Recently built a pc and wanted a WiFi and Bluetooth card for convenience. Easy to instal: just plugged the card into the pcie 2.0 x1 slot and plugged the cable connected to it into JUSB1. Turned on computer and with an Ethernet cable plugged in, it began to download the drivers automatically. Then I could use Wifi and Bluetooth devices with no hassle. Recommended if you have windows 10. Can’t speak for the other versions.

5.0 out of 5 stars 2-in-1 card and addressing the issues others have
Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2020
Style: AX3000Verified Purchase
I bought the TP Link Archer TX50E to replace my old dying Gigabyte WiFi/Bluetooth card. I'm going to go over some misconceptions first.

This is a 2-in-1 card meaning it is CAPABLE of both WiFi and Bluetooth. The PCI-E portion of the card is for Wifi. It's known that if you buy a 2-in-1 card, you should be expecting to use a USB 2.0 motherboard header to use the Bluetooth portion of the card. If you don't have enough 2.0 headers, look into buying a USB 2.0 Header expansion hub.

Secondly, this runs on the Intel AX200 wireless chipset which is WiFi 6 (802.11ax) capable. So when the description says AX3000, it's referring to the combined POTENTIAL MAXIMUM DOWNLOAD speeds of the 2.4 GHz (2402 Mbps) and 5.0 GHz bands (574 Mbps). So if you need drivers for this card, you can grab them directly from Intel's website.

Third, if your router is not capable of WiFi 6 speeds, you will not reach WiFi 6 speeds. Check your model number to see what you're getting. The same thing applies to MU-MIMO and WPA3 Encryption. If your router does not support those two, your card will not use them. It will instead default to S-MIMO, WPA2 (or whatever is available) and WiFi 5 (or whatever your router is capable of).

Now that I've cleared some misconceptions let's move to the features then pros and cons.

Features:
- WiFi 6 (802.11ax) capable card / Intel AX200 chipset
- Bluetooth 5.0 (USB 2.0 cable included)
- WiFi (PCI-E interface) and Bluetooth (USB 2.0 Header) [2-in-1 card]
- MU-MIMO (multiple user- multiple input mutiple output) capable, in pigs latin it should give lower latency
- 2x2 Antenna
- WPA3 Encryption
- Low profile bracket included

Pros:
- WiFi 6 and Bluetooth in 1 card
- reliable latency
- MU-MIMO
- WPA3

Cons:
- Large Antennas (I'll explain why below)

The ability to have both WiFi and Bluetooth in one card without having to sacrifice a USB port (not USB header) is great since I can use a PCI-E slot. I've had reliable speeds and latency (ignoring ISP interruptions). The card is barely noticeable inside my build since it's relatively small and sits under my GPU.

Although, because the card sits under my GPU the antennas do stick up bumping into my GPU cables. I have to move the antennas slightly to the sides as a result. The positioning of the antennas don't affect performance but aesthetically it sucks.

The TP Link Archer TX50E is a good WiFi and Bluetooth card if you're looking for a 2-in-1.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bluetooth Requires More Power Than My Motherboard's USB Header Provides
Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2020
Style: AX3000Verified Purchase
Since my desktop didn't come with bluetooth as a feature, and I needed to upgrade my wireless card, I opted for this two-in-one package.

Everything was pretty straight forward except that I couldn't get bluetooth functionality after driver installation. I tried multiple drivers but each time the machine was rebooted, there were no installed bluetooth devices to be found. After much aggravation, it occurred to me that perhaps the USB header on my motherboard wasn't providing enough juice to power the bluetooth. Following that train of thought, I went ahead and purchased a male USB header to dual male USB adapter. I plugged the bluetooth power cord into the adapter, and then ran the adapter cord out the back of the computer and plugged both USB plugs into the back of my motherboard. Bluetooth works great now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Archer TX55E / Intel AX210, excellent WiFi card
Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2022
Style: AX3000 - Newer ModelVerified Purchase
While TP-Link doesn't list it, the Archer TX55E contains an Intel AX210 wifi/Bluetooth card. Any PCIe slot in your computer will work for the WiFi card. However, you must have an open USB header on the motherboard to utilize the Bluetooth functionality.

If you download the Intel Driver and Support Assistant, it will provide even newer drivers for the AX210 than TP-Link provides. This can help with random disconnect issues or poor performance.

WiFi speeds are blazing fast with this card. No issues with disconnects, or anything else. It is almost completely plug and play aside from the drivers.

3.0 out of 5 stars Flaky connection that frequently drops out
Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2020
Style: AX3000Verified Purchase
After a quick install, the WiFi seemed to work great at first - ran a few tests on my internal network to see if I was getting the advertised performance and things started off great. I was getting file transfer speeds between devices on my network in excess of 900 Mbps - not exactly what it claims it can do. I also ran some online tests and got a passable result of 920 Mbps to my ISP from ookla.

So far so good right?

Well, after about 20 minutes of use, I noticed that things slowed down dramatically. I went to check my connection status and is seemed like the device had dropped connection completely. After a minute or so, it reconnected on its own and things seemed to be smooth again.

This process never stopped. The longest the card was able to remain connected to my 5GHz network was about 33 minutes. It constantly dropped the connection, and would take about 60 to 120 seconds to reconnect. This is my first TP-Link product and has honestly sort of ruined my interest in them because of how poorly the device performed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Range and Performance
Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2021
Style: AX3000Verified Purchase
This card was able to pick up my router through several walls, and still delivered stellar performance. On my 802.11ac router, it managed speeds in excess of 150Mbps. I don't have a WiFi 6 capable router at the moment, but at least this card makes for an economical way to be ready once I upgrade my router, all while being totally compatible with my current network.

Installation was painless--just plug it in like any other PCIe card, and then route the USB cable to an empty header on your motherboard for Bluetooth. The software side of things was equally simple. It worked right out of the box without any additional drivers on Windows 10. I did eventually install the Intel drivers just in case, but I haven't noticed any major performance impact on my current AC network.

I'm very impressed with this card. Although it's a little pricey for just doing 802.11ac, it'll give you a little future-proofing once you decide to upgrade your router.

The wifi was easy plug-play in win 10 but the bluetooth was a pain had to buy CRJ 9-Pin USB IDC Dupont Male Header to Dual USB 2.0 Type A Male Cable to provide power to bluetooth .Bought on Amazon .Then it worked it would seem that the mfg.would supply an adapter or make it use the socket that the card plugs into. Then I would have given 5 stars. Oh well you can not win them all
