I am not a novice cook. I am 70 and have spent nearly 50 years cooking about an hour a day making dinner for my family. I am a good judge of ingredients. I just opened this vinegar. It has no pomegranate flavor or fruity flavor of any kind. It tastes like ordinary cider vinegar.

I love this raspberry vinegar!! It makes the best tasting dressing for salads. I couldn’t find anything like this in the local store and was excited to find I could get it from Amazon. It’s expensive but you get two bottles that will last. Just a reminder this is vinegar not a vinaigrette. Lots of uses.

This is terrible. Tried it on my veggies mixed with Olive Oil. One bite was enough. Tastes like pure white vinegar. No raspberry flavor/taste at all. The smell reminds me of what I use to dye Easter eggs in. I have had raspberry vinaigrette before and it does not taste like the ones I have had which have all been good. This product is misleading. Do not buy as you can not return for a refund. Do not waste your money.

You’re better off just buying Paul Newman’s Raspberry Vinaigrette. This stuff lacks body and oomph.

Okay…I’m no chef…but I’ve been making my own raspberry-maple syrup salad dressing for the holidays for many years, usually with a store-bought brand at a gourmet market when I can FIND it. (And yes, I add a lot to it.) The one or two times I couldn’t find it, I used the Newman’s, and it was just fine.

This stuff? This past Christmas? Came out very blah.

I really likely that this vinegar is not acidic. I can sprinkle it over salad, add a few herbs and seeds, and it becomes a delicious dish. It is the same consistency as other vinegars like cider, rice or red wine vinegars, but way less tart. I’ll definitely buy it again.

Defective cap - potential quality control issue?

Packaging was damaged. I could not remove the cap. I wound up having to use a cork screw to puncture a hole in the top to get access to the vinegar. This item is non-returnable since it’s a food item. Hopefully this is a one off situation, but maybe there is a quality control issue?
