Anyone who grew up in the 80's remembers the iconic characters associated with their favorites flavor of Otter Pops. These were one of my all-time favorite treats on a hot summer day when I was a kid, and with all the new fancy frozen icy treats that have come out over the last 30-40 years, Otter Pops have always remained at the top of my list of favorites you can find in my freezer at all times. I can't remember a time in the last 35 years when my freezer has been without Otter Pops for longer than 4 days. Lol. I've tried the different flavors that other brands have come out with like the jolly rancher flavors and Italian ice flavors, but nothing has ever been as good as the original flavors that Otter Pops have kept the same for generations. I hope Otter Pops continue to stay true to their original roots for many many more generations to come. There's nothing better on a hot summer day than a Sir Isaac Blue Flavored icy, IMO. I still look forward to grabbing one out of the freezer after 35 years. I can't think of anything else that I can say that about. Otter Pops are the best, simple as that.

Five stars if for no other reason that I got to log in to amazon one day and see that, at my wife's request, amazon was shipping a box of water and sugar across the country for free. I laughed for a solid minute straight. Of all the ridiculous things to have second day air shipping on, a box that is almost entirely water has to be top 10. The wright brothers would be proud.

All kidding aside, Otter pops are great.

I started havig these in the summer but they're just such a treat for me, bc of low sugar & no calories I'm still eating them here in the winter time. I'm diabetic so I can't have anything with lots of sugar. Just don't make the mistake I did about the tropical flovored ones, they do have sugar & calories, neither box says about that in the pics, just trying to help some one avoid the mistake I made!

My mom used to lock us out of the house in the summer and occasionally throw some otter pops outside to keep us cool and to bribe us to keep playing. While I may not carry on that EXACT tradition with my kids, it is a fun story to share with them while we have some otter pops.

These are the best little treats for hot summers, and you’re not going to find a better value price per popsicle plus flavor compared to other brands.

No Characters Anymore!

The whole appeal of an Otter Pop are the Otter characters. Also false advertising, because these pops show the characters printed on the individually wrapped pops. There are no characters printed. My daughter is in on the otter animal hype, and I thought she’d really relate to the characters. I was really disappointed when I opened the box and they are just printed with the text “Otter Pops.”

Otter pops are awesome! So much better than sticky Popsicles with their messy wooden sticks. Better than flavor ice or Mr. free Z’s that I remember as a kid. We don’t like the purple or red flavor so quite a few of them don’t get eaten but the rest of them are snatched up pretty much as soon as they’re frozen. It’s a nice cold sweet treat without a lot of calories that you can grab and go

The otter pop characters are gone

So, I don't know why, but Otter Pop's no longer have the character on the side of the plastic wrappers anymore. I used to love watching the characters slowly become transparent as you at them and wanted to share the experience with my own kids. Well, not anymore. If you look at the 4th picture listed for this product on this page it shows the old wrappers, not they look like picture 3. Makes me sad and mad.
