How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

4.0 out of 5 starsSoft and Sweet (Rewards Points Not Accurate)
Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2019
These are the best! They run a bit bigger then regular swaddlers, and are definitely pricey but the tabs are better and the designs are so cute. They keep my baby girl from getting eczema on her thighs that she gets with other diapers. Love knowing they are all natural.

Wanted to add also that the points value is wrong. Online it says I should have received 72 points (see attached values chart) but I only received a total of 60 each pack gave me 20pts and the box comes with three packs inside. Come on pampers get it together and stop being stingy with the points.
Also it doesn’t makes sense that the pampers cruisers give more points than these when these are pricer.

It is my first time writing review in amazon.

It was so shocking to find some sharp plastic piece (looks like its from the velcro tab) from INSIDE of the diaper twice!!
I usually don’t check the inside of the diaper before I use it because I mean who would think you can find some plastic piece from it?

So The I found the piece after my baby has been wearing the diaper with plastic piece for hours!! It was stuck on her skin!!! At first I tried to understand until I found second plastic piece from another diaper(2nd piece was sharper)..... from the same box.

I was so excited to try this new line from Pampers. We've been using Pampers Swaddlers since we brought our daughter home from the hospital. Never experienced any rashes or intense explosions. One day of using the new PURE line, and our daughter developed the worst diaper rash in her life. As soon as we immediate stopped using the diapers, the rash subsided and was gone.

Not sure why these diapers caused such a negative reaction, but "environmentally friendly" is not always the friendliest for your baby's butt. We're throwing away all the remaining diapers (literally more than half the pack) and rebuying the swaddlers.

1.0 out of 5 stars Constantly leaking

Do not waste your money on these. I was excited to have pampers make a “clean” diaper but your better off going with a different brand. My son has a leaky diaper every.single.night. He wakes up 3-4 times a night for a bottle and a diaper change and 9/10 he is in a small puddle of his own urine. And I’m always surprised, while sometimes his diaper is full, most of the time it’s only a little bit dirty but is still leaking out of the top or sides. Washing sheets every single day, and wiping him down and putting him into dry pajamas at all hours of the night with him screaming and crying, causing my other child to wake up crying, is NOT WORTH IT. Choose a different brand! Many times I thought somehow i was doing something wrong, maybe I was putting them on wrong or maybe he was in the wrong size, but no. They just are bad, leaking diapers. I liked them because they aren’t stiff like the other “clean” diapers but these are not worth your money. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE. You’re better off going to another brand, and I will urge everyone I come across to do the same.

1.0 out of 5 stars Exploding diapers

We've used Pampers Pure for the last 13 months - since my girl was four weeks old and we realized she had pretty sensitive skin. We switched to Pure, and haven't had a whiff of diaper rash since. I've loved them, largely because they don't smell like diapers, until this last batch of Size 5s we put her in for overnights.

She's a belly sleeper, and tends to have overnight wetness patterns more typical of a boy. Over the last two weeks, she's awakened early at least nine mornings (I'm losing track from lack of sleep), crying because her diaper has exploded and the wet gel is all over her bum, her belly, and her legs. It's a nightmare - bath, yellow gel all over the floor, more laundry (which means the pee-soaked gel is ending up in the washer?!). I don't know if this is a batch problem or what, but I'm not sure I'd recommend the Pampers Pure line anymore.

1.0 out of 5 stars Possible chemicals in product

Buyer beware! I purchased the Pampers pure in a size two last month and had no issues. My LO is growing fast and now wears a size 3. While using these I began to a have an allergic reaction every time I touched the diapers. The reaction was similar to what I would experience when I come into contact with latex. This product is supposed to be made without latex so I’m not sure what was triggering a reaction. Upon closer inspection there was a strong chemical/ burnt rubber odor on the diaper. When LO would pee the odor was stronger, this was alarming for a product that has “pure” and free from chemicals as it’s selling point. I was looking for a brand that was chemical free however this wasn’t it. Don’t trust what’s on the box...there is definitely some form of chemical used to make this product or possibly latex. Not so pure and not so kind for babies skin. Subscription cancelled for both diapers and wipes, super disappointed. I’ll be looking for another brand ASAP!

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Rough material inside; terrible for babies!!

This diaper gave my newborn a HORRIBLE diaper rash. They made him bleed and his bottom was VERY raw :(. My son was two weeks when I bought these and we were only gifted two boxes of newborn diapers before he was born. Pampers swaddlers and a pack of Honest brand. I ordered these thinking this is what I had been using instead of the swaddlers. After just one day of using these, my baby started getting very fussy and especially with diaper changes. The next day I noticed his bottom was bleeding as I cleaned him. I thought it was from him pooping so much at first and excessive diaper changes. I decided to think about the products I was using and realized these diapers were different and I examined the material inside. Under the mesh net-netlike material the material there for absorption was so rough even on MY skin. It looked like plastic or glass-like fibers. It felt like sandpaper and definitely explained my baby’s bleeding bottom. Do not use these on your baby. I was so angry and felt so bad that I was so careless and just kept using these on my son even though he was in pain:(. We immediately went and switched to another brand when we realized and while we were in the store, a lady in the diaper aisle said “don’t use pampers they gave my baby a rash.” His bottom already is healing since using the new kind after 2 days. So yeah I won’t use any pampers brand ever again probably and most definitely not this kind.

1.0 out of 5 stars Gave my son the worst rash!
Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2019

I've probably tried every version of diaper on the market. My son wears size 5 and is almost 2, so we're not new to the diaper game. We usually just buy normal Huggies or Pampers (not the Pure ones). But I thought I'd try to find one that was a little better (maybe more organic?) for my son for a change. Never again! Chemicals it is.

These gave him THE WORST diaper rash, just after one day of him wearing them. I thought maybe he wore them wet for too long, so made sure to change him more often the next day and it was still bad. Kept putting diaper cream and/or vaseline on it, and it would start to get better than it would get bad again. Didn't go away and after only a week he developed a little sore on the one cheek. Never, in the two years he's been wearing diapers, did this happen before so I know its because of these.

The worst part was the rash it gave my son was so bad he would scream bloody murder, and twist and turn when we tried to wipe him. He's almost 30 lbs and almost 3ft tall already, so he is not a little kid to have twisting around when you're trying to wipe poop from his bottom. It would take both myself and my husband holding him down and trying to wipe him as gently as possible. But the rash these gave him was so bad that he didn't want us to even touch him with the wipes, and he started lying about when he pooped. Before these we'd ask him "did you poop?" and he would say "yes!" and lay down so we could change him. But because of this rash we'd hear him pooping or see him making the squinchy face,, and then we'd ask if he pooped and he'd "yell No, no poop!" and run away because wiping his bottom hurt him. WORST DIAPERS EVER. Will never buy these again.

My wife and I bought these thinking it was a great deal and value for our 6month old daughter who has sensitive skin. However, fast forward we started using them on our baby girl and quickly notice defects with the diaper it felt cheap and fell apart easily. During a routine diaper change, we were about to throw the used diaper away and notice a wet mark on the changing table --at first, we thought nothing of it, however, during every change thereafter the same thing was happening. It was to our astonishment we notice that the diapers were leaking (light) --but that shouldn't be happening. We also notice something even more serious our daughter's genitalia started showing a red discoloration after as signs of a diaper rash. As first-time parents, we did what we thought was the right thing and applied Desitin diaper paste to the area but we continued using the diaper (shouldn't known better). The rash quickly spread and was out of control. We took our daughter to the pediatrician and explain the situation and they immediately notice it was due to external contact and told us to change the brand and see what if that worked. We switched to the Huggies brand (not a plug for Huggies just what we did) and noticed an immediate change. The rash stop spreading and the redness went away over time. We didn't change the diaper paste only the diapers. So, naturally, our thinking is that it's due to the diapers. However, we're not sure if it's due to the seller selling us shorty diapers or just that Pampers decided to cut corners. Regardless, it affected our child and I would hate for any other parents to go through a similar experience like we did it's not worth it especially when your kid involved. My recommendation is I would rather be safe than sorry and rethink purchasing this brand.

1.0 out of 5 stars The absolute WORST

I feel compelled to actually take a minute from my newborn twins to write a review on HOW BAD these diapers are. I am a Pampers mom - I used them with my son and have a massive stockpile for the twins. But the regular cruisers or swaddlers, not these “frou-frou” Pure variety.

Due to Corona-crazy, I couldn’t get the newborn swaddlers, so I ordered these. Y’all, these are the FIRST Pampers I’ve used in 3 years that have leaked. And it was every. dang. time. EVERY TIME. I’ve got a toddler and newborn twins. The last thing I have the time or mental capacity to deal with is freaking leaky diapers. I actually went and ordered Huggies out of desperation after 2 days of this bs, and shoved these in a cabinet for emergencies. Or to gift to someone I hate like I would snap-up footed pajamas.

If you’re a glutton for punishment or change a diaper after every single pee, then these are for you. If you expect a diaper to make it without leaks for more than a single 3 hour sleep/eat/play cycle, then stay FAR away.

1.0 out of 5 stars NOT for sensitive skin anymore

We have been using Pampers Pure diapers for our son since he was 2 or 3 months old. He is 15 months old now. I used to buy them at Target but with supply issues at our local store, I ordered a few boxes from Amazon. My son has eczema and has been having recurring diaper rash the past few months and we finally determined the cause as his diapers. I don't know if it's with all Pampers Pure diapers or just the ones we bought from Amazon, but the quality is noticeably different and it definitely caused a lot of discomfort and unnecessary doctor's appointments for our son. Not only did they cause diaper rash but they do not hold in urine odors at all anymore and have a very chemical smell as soon as my son would wet his diaper. I canceled my subscription to these diapers and will not purchase again.
