Classic to me

I recall watching this on showtime or HBO as a kid, I had never seen anything like it. I think it holds up today.

I can never see Roach and not think of the “Got Milk” commercial the actor did calling into the radio station with a mouth full of peanut butter trying to say Aaron Burr for the trivia question.

classic movie right here, loved it before cell phones were common, and still love it now. one of the best horror films ever made. its creepy and yet has that comedic relief that i love, with a original feel. its chainsaw massacre in urban environment. its the feeling of being trapped and cant get out that makes it so creepy, and the you arent going to stop me getting out that i love about it. classic legendary film.

Easily one of Craven's best movies

I can't recommend this movie enough for anyone who likes the genre. The cast all do a phenomenal job. The suspense is glorious. The house itself, with all of its secret passages and spooky areas, is already one of my favorite horror movie locations. The choreography of movements is yet another highlight whenever there's a cat and mouse game between characters. The action and chase scenes are some of the best I've sen from such young performers. The horrible things that the villains do to their adoptive daughter are sickening, but impressively well-acted. The only two things I'd change about this movie are a slightly corny speech that gets made at the end (even if it could be justified as shut providing a distraction for the hero) and the fate of the scene-stealing third character to die.

This movie isn't for the faint of heart, but the non faint of heart will love it.

One of my favorite Wes Craven films

great movie from the 90's and living in Los Angeles and being an Apartment kid in relatable living conditions and landlords, this movie stood out with all of the kids in the apt that came over to my place to watch it with me. The fact that I have it on blu ray is just so awesome because I really do enjoy this one a lot. Not to mention the Twin Peaks actors Everett McGill and Wendy Robie as the landlords was awesome

Boiiiiiii this movie is one of my favorites!!!!! I decided to buy the VHS tape for my friend who is an avid collector. The quality of the tape was amazing; for the amount of time its been out, it played very well. I really appreciate the seller for having it packaged so well. My friend loved the movie just as much as I do.

This movie was a really bizarre tale. I just loved it. I love horror movies that tell about a creepy family. How many times do you drive down the street and see a normal looking house and wonder what is happening inside? There was incest, bondage, cannibalism, torture, kid napping and more! This was just as great and disturbing as it was when I first saw it!

I originally saw this when it came out in theaters. I've seen it occasionally since but it has been a long gap since last time. The movie holds up as much as a totally fictional horror drama can. There are some legit social concerns brought up which is interesting for such a genre. The acting has enough power behind it to be reasonably convincing. Many would call this a 'B' movie, and it probably is. However, it's a really good B movie.
