Loved this type of cartoon. We tend to forget their is different artistry in the world and I was enthralled by the animation! The voice acting was perfect! I loved the story line. It was a wondrous experience to see what could happen and I believe if you are willing to let the story into your heart you will love the artistry of the animation even if you are not use to this kind of animation. We are so biased sometimes we don't give artworks a chance but this story deserves everything. I loved the little boy and the detective working together. This was a dream come true and I hope other people and children will be able to view something like this with unspoiled eyes and see the purity of the love in the animation, the acting and the music! It was wonderful! Thank you!!

When Leo discovers he has the power to leave his body and float about New York as a ghost, the 11-year-old superhero befriends Alex, a cop who was injured while trying to capture The Face, a mysterious new villain. I have to admit that I almost turned this off about 15 minutes into this movie, I am so glad that I persevered. The animation/art was not to my liking, it looked simplistic and childlike but it fit the story so very well that I stuck it out and am so very glad I did. Delightful from start to finish. The story is wonderful and as I said the art is wonderful with this type of story and the voice actors that lent their talent to this creation was perfect. I do recommend this to children of all ages and their parents.

Excellent all around -- especially the voice acting. I never did get resonant with the cartoon's graphics. To me, it was a weakness of the effort -- even though I saw the artistry, it didn't give me the mood I wanted. Or something. Five stars of course despite the significance of the bothering graphics. I took a chance on the purchase....only saw the trailer and there was but one review here. Glad I rented; glad I didn't buy. Like that.

Wouldn't watch another film with these graphics. No sequels for me.

I love "A Cat in Paris" and bought "Phantom Boy" because it was created by the same team. Both films would appeal to all age groups and both are a feast for the eye.

The animation is incredibly unique, and the story touching in its deliverance. This film does have a bit of a slower pace- but is definitely worth the time!
