Terrible. Let me spoil it for you...........the end. NOTHING happens, stupidest movie. Things don't even make sense. So much fluff in the middle. Ending is crap. Terrible writing by 2 dum-dums. Should be taken off Prime so others will spend the 90 mins doing anything more enjoyable like taxes, cleaning toilets, having a colonoscopy.

Do yourself a favor, really, skip this movie.

Not Good

Nick Cage has done some stellar movies. This is not one of them. A movie about mob activities written by people with no real knowledge of mob activities, or how police interact with mobsters. It was superficial and hokey. The acting was not a problem, it was strictly the writing. The plot is disjointed, the affiliations and motives unclear, the flashbacks laughable, the timelines impossible. The action sequences had a couple good moments, most of them were pretty contrived and some of them just ridiculous. The premise that a mob guy would have a tackle box full of MURDER WEAPONS in his house. That's what we are dealing with here. Totally destruction of the suspension of disbelief. These are not real characters, they are caricatures. If you want to see the stupidest movie Nick Cage as ever done, this might be your vehicle. If your looking for something good, this is not it.

Felt like this was trying to be John Wick, and failed miserably.

This plot was really horrible, Nick Cage plays a reformed gangster/killer with a wife and daughter, Rachel Nichols' character could have been cut out completely. His past catches up to him and his family, or so you think, and then the end is revealed. What? Cage's acting is pretty bad and over the top, even for him. The only real suspense, how did the toupee stay on Nick's head with all the brawling and fighting.

Cage and Glover Rock
Verified purchase
the movie was alright. But Cage and Glover's acting abilities were superb! I am sick and tired of people dissing Cage's acting ability because he fell into hard times financially. Same goes for Snipes and esp, Andrew Norton, shunned by HOLLYFRAUD because he is difficult to work with. WELL LET US TALK ABOUT TOM HANKS, HOLLYFRAUD'S GOLDEN BOY. YEAH, ARRESTED FOR PEDOPHILIA AND HUMAN TRAFFICING OF CHILDREN. WONDER HOW LONG HE HAS BEEN DOING THAT, AND HOLLYFRAUD KNEW. YET THEY GAVE HIM SUPER ROLES.By the way, I hated Forest Gump. One of the stupidist movie I have ever seen.

You win some..and then you lose some..

Nicholas Coppola Cage is a wonderful actor...and so is Danny Glover. Except this vehicle was poorly directed ..and like they say .. "They did it for the money".. Mr.Cage has had some serious financial issues in the past and he got way over his head with the IRS.. Hopefully the debt has been paid and he can take care of his career like he should. These dicey movies ..he's been taking ..aren't for critical's sorely for debt purposes.. In the end this can ruin your career.. if he could become more like Tom Cruise ..pick a few scripts and help to produce.. therefore he can make sound decision's and NOT impulse ones based upon his lifestyle.. Danny Glover we know from "The Color Purple" and the "Lethal Weapon" franchises of the 1980's-1990's.. The director of this film..I am not familiar with... He does have a way to go before he become's an A-list camera man..that can really tell a story..

only reason to watch is if you HAVE to cross it off of you Nicholas Cage Bucketlist. If not, save yourself the time. poorly executed, everything from the acting to the script to the direction. Disappointed in Nicolas Cage for this one. good thing he still has National Treasure.

Tragic Violence
Verified purchase
This movie was hard to watch. I found it disturbing in so many ways; the violence, Nicholas Cage playing such a ruthless character, but most of all I was disturbed by the tragedy of it all. If you are tough and not prone to be upset by violence, then you might enjoy this movie, but it just left me depressed and wondering how Cage has played so many different kinds of characters without losing sight of who he really is.
