A perfect Duo

I wanted this movie because I had seen it before. One reason, Lou Diamond Phillips, he is an under rated actor who is typecast in many ways, however; I have never seen any thing but good acting from this performer, I have always enjoyed his acting even when I did not like the movie, and I remember I enjoyed this one. Of course, Keifer Sutherland, like his father, can do anything well. Now I can enjoy it any time I want. Thanks

OK, but a little boring.

Not that great. A lot of pointless killing. I never did figure out what reason that girl had for being in the movie. I guess the people that made the movie didn't either because they killed her off - and she was actually incredibly stupid - just ran out in the middle of a gun battle. OK for free on TV on a Saturday afternoon, but not worth a penny plus shipping. And all the Indian spirituality stuff was so predictable. And so was the corrupt cop stuff. And then a guy sets fire to his own super fancy barn full of horses. Really? That's not going to bring in the cops for miles around? I'm being generous with the 3 stars.

I watch this movie so often - it’s super funny and full of all the 80s movie staples: insane stunts and complete destruction of entire sets.
Is kind of one of the better representations of indigenous people, but is still occasionally heavy on the “stoic and mysterious” stereotype. It does flip and make fun of white hero/indigenous sidekick stereotype as well.

Why I liked this movie

Great action movie. The main subject in this movie revolves around a Sacred Lance stolen from an American Indian exhibit.
Kiefer Sutherland is a not by the book undercover cop. Lou Diamond Philips is playing a Lakota indian. who with his brother and father brought the Sacred Lance to the exhibit and is trying to get it back. When these two hook up all heck breaks loose. Sutherland is trying to infiltrate a gang of very nasty criminals, then throw in 2 dirty cops, one being his boss. Then you have the main criminal, he is the one who stole the lance. It just has so many twist and turns in the plot. I enjoyed the story line.

Love this movie, it disappeared, suspect someone borrowed it and didn’t return it. Quick service, and great condition.

Clean but full of action and violence [layed to human nature]--
No overly done female traipsing through to spoil the action.
Excellent macho performance by Kieffer Sutherland and Lou Diamond Phillips [as should be expected].
Story line still had enough punch to make it interesting.
Hate to say it, a great acting job by the top nasty - couldn't stand the guy.
Would have liked a commentary about the actors and the work they put into their roles.
I would definitely recommend this movie and will certainly watch it over again.

Love the story. Great actors and actresses in it plus it dealt with Native Americans and a lance that was sacred to them.
