Not the worst movie of the year, just C-/D+. Jericho (Michael Pare) is NOT a "ruthless" gun-for-hire, just a quick draw. The priest (Joseph Camilleri) was actually the most believable actor in the cast. Emily Whitcomb seems to have great potential as an emerging actress, but she was obviously given wooden dialogue and directed to speak like a robot. It took some talent to pull that off and still project some stage presence. The plot was mundane and way too predictable. I kind of like the location and photography. Overall, reminded me of the Lone Ranger from the 1950's, caricature bad guys, caricature good guys, shot in color. I would rate it 7+ to 12 years old.

A movie critic I respect, who has a great love for all movies, once said in response to derision of B movies, "They did this just for you. Look how hard they all worked, just to entertain you." It gave me a new vision of everyone who sets out to make a movie out of love for acting and putting something together on a shoestring. This is one such move. Not a big production, but done with love and honesty. I really enjoyed this movie. The only advice I would offer, to ALL costume designers...PLEASE! Iron the costumes before filming. It is distracting to see fold wrinkles in shirts, pants, and dresses, and bed sheets. It's obvious when clothes and bedding are pulled out of packages and used without making them look worn. The package wrinkles in the Father's cassock were unmistakable.

I really did like this movie but it could have done without some of the launguage and nudety. It was not the, "I like it when you talk dirty," that was so bad. It was the scene with the bounty hunter and the future Mrs. Outlaw Saved, when he spoke of what he was going to do to her, that was the resson for the 4 stars. It was his passed and I understand that he lived a bad life but some things could've been implied and not said or shown. In fact it may have drawn a bigger audience if the line above was spoke like, "I like it when you talk to me that way."

Gunslinger goes straight, with the help of God. Many people's lives are better as a result. The sense of the miraculous is artfully displayed For many of the bounty hunters in the interim, not so much. Touching in places, pretty harsh in others, all 'round not bad for a modern western. The God-centered theme was refreshing, and not overblown. The acting being 'wooden' is a common complaint of the wooden-souled atheists who hate this sort of thing. Ignore that rubbish and make up your own mind. Worth the watch.

Michael Pare a great top notched actor. Very believable. Highly recommend this movie. Very strong and deep storyline. Rene Perez movies are great and the future. 100% excellence!

Great to see an old fashioned style western movie with morals and values done with some grit. This movie has got heart and a whole lotta punch. There are a couple of really good songs. Especially the one at the end.
