These Royal Dansk Danish butter cookies are delicious as they always have been.
I have been buying these cookies for over 30 years, and they taste the same as they always have despite some reviewers saying otherwise.
These cookies have always been made with coconut and have a mild coconut flavor which I like.
If you do not like the flavor of coconut, don't buy these and then complain about them tasting like coconut as some reviewers do. Coconut is on the list of ingredients and has always been on the list of ingredients, so don't blame Royal Dansk if you did not do your due diligence as a customer because you did not read the ingredients list.
If you like Danish butter cookies with a mild coconut flavor, then buy these since in my opinion, they are the best of the commercially available brands that I have tried.

These cookies, AND the tin itself, should be considered a National Treasure... and need be handled as such! 😂
Like a few others, I also received a dented tin. Luckily for me, the dent was small enough where I was able to push the dent out after I opened it. Its not perfect, but at least now its a lot better than it was in my picture.
I'm glad this wasn't a gift because I wouldn't have opened it... and that dent would have been embarrassing.
Then I opened the tin and I was very happy to see that my cookies were intact 😊🎉
The people who ship these need to add a bubble wrap AROUND the tin.... not just an "air pillow" on one side of the box they ship these in. That only protects one side of the tin. Duh.
Not only do we love the tin, but these are cookies you're shipping and shouldn't arrive to customers in crumbs. Please consider better shipping in the future.

These are found in the stores near the holidays but not in the deeper tins such as this one, making 3-4 layers of cookies. A recipe for "Raspberry Crumble" on the back of the liner has my "mouth memory" imagining Hallongrotta, (raspberry cave) a Swedish pastry aka a thumbprint cookie. Pepperidge Farm and Unna (both available on Amazon) are the closest I can compare to flavor. My creativity thinks 5 seconds, more or less, in the microwave and adding a touch of your preferred flavor of jam. I'd try it, tell you jam on or off pre/post microwave but nary a smidgen in the house. There's still "a fresh baked" cookie to be had via microwave. A glass of vanilla soy or almond milk for dunking. Hot chocolate. If I don't take an allotted amount and walk away, my own brain would query if I'd had the munchies the next time I wanted one of these delicious cookies in the middle of a hot, August day!
