I don't know what's with the Saltines. I've purchased dozens of these in the last few years. All of a sudden in the last month the ones shipped to me are stale. Beware boxes dated 15 JAN 22 AH102. I've got 6 boxes of these and 3 that I've sampled are all stale. 2 are very stale and have a perfume-y scent and taste.

This is a exceptional cracker. It’s like sex for the mouth... Can be used as an eating utensil for soups, primarily Cup Noodle.
On a serious note.. I did happen to go through the Entire box within 3-4 days.... yea if I have them..they be done.

So I too found Nabisco premium saltines suddenly unavailable anywhere. I sawthe price on Amazon, almost threw up, but decided to pull the trigger. mine shipped from Sam's club and for some reason, I got TWO 3 lbs boxes for the ridiculous price of $20 or whatever the price was. my crackers were not broken nor stale, they were fresh and I am just now finishing the last of the first 3 lb box with another 12 packs in reserve. have not looked at my local grocery to see if they are back on the shelves, but when I get low, I will check and if necessary, would buy again from Amazon! did I pay more than normal retail - yes (hence the 4 stars) but love saltines with my soup every day, so was willing to pay a premium for premium saltines (yes, funny, sort of....!!)

Stale with a funny aftertaste

It’s not worth ordering boxed food from Amazon because it’s impossible to make sure it’s going to be fresh. I’ve learned my lesson. The crackers were stale and had a funny aftertaste. No one in the family will eat them. Unfortunately, I’m stuck with them. If I had purchased them from a local grocery store I could take them back for a replacement or refund. However, Amazon doesn’t allow that so I’m out.

For whatever reason our area grocery stores are consistently sold out of Premium saltines. This was easily available and equivalent to 3 regular sized boxes. More expensive than the grocery store but that was expected. Was expecting them to be half crushed but shockingly arrived in extremely good shape. Also they were fresh. Price aside, they were readily available, and of great quality and freshness.

Thought I'd be a "smart shopper" and buy in bulk since I've been obsessed with these Saltines for weeks (usually they're reserved for times of sickness). 12 sleeves for $14 and change - OK, whatever. But half the sleeves in the box arrived with smashed crackers. The crackers taste old and stale as hell. They're not even returnable. Absolutely disappointed. Buyer beware.
