Buyer beware: Your kid will use this against you.

Mildly easy to assemble. Ease to push by a 16 month old world conquerer in training. Can now reach Sinks to “wash ands”, light switches to start techno globe parties, and “halp” make meals.
Easy to clean.
Sturdy enough that a rioting 45 pounder cannot tip over.
Has traction strips for installation.

Has safety bars in place to prevent falling. Doubles as gymnastic set.

Cannot be broken down or folded up. Can be slid along slick floors. Has ended up in bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms to aid in generalized debauchery. We’re all big fans in this house.

Sent this to my Grandson, unfortunately there was a part that was completely covered in paint so my daughter in law couldn't put the screw into hole that the wooden piece would go into make the step stool safer and sturdy, she has emailed the seller but to no avail, she didn't want to return the step stool as it took a long time to put together and there weren't any white stool left.
To the Seller if you read this please get back to me and I will direct you to my daughter in-law..
My Grandson loves this step stool but someone has to stand next to him when he want to get into it..

I love this so much. I wish I had gotten it sooner. I can keep baby girl involved and entertained without having to hold her the entire time while I’m in the kitchen. I know I will use this for the next few years at least. I did have to close off the climbing part because she doesn’t understand she can easily slip out and fall as she tends to bend down while in the stand. Other then the fact I wish there was more reinforcement in that area, I love this tower.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent

Bought this for our 19-month old daughter who is OBSESSED with whatever mom and dad are doing on the kitchen countertop. After getting is assembled and trying it out we decided it was too soon for her and stuck it in the garage; we'll try again when she's two. Problem is - and I realize the design limitation of a structure like this - it is INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS for an unattended child to be in; not that we'd let her play in it unsupervised, but she does have access to the kitchen (which is babyproofed to hell and back) and we're both admittedly helicopter parents, but we currently do let her play in the kitchen by herself, and because of our open floorplan can't really keep her out of it, and if she WERE to ever get in there unnoticed and climb up on this thing, she could end up needing an emergency room visit in no time. The open sides of the stool create great injury possibilities is a little foot slips off the side (which actually happened within a few seconds during her first time trying it out - right in front of me) - lots of things to bang a little face on as half her body fell out of the open side. Once those tears subsided, she was right back at it, and within a few more seconds was toppling the thing over face-first (which is my fault as I assembled it in the living room but didn't finish before the girls got home from shopping and of course our daughter immediately started obsessing over it and demanding a try the second I was done); my wife caught her, but that could have gotten ugly.

So our big fear here is that she's going to get in it when we aren't within two feet of her to catch her if she knocks it over or falls through the side of it. Not knocking the manufacturer at all - given what these things are made for you just need to be RIGHT there with your child while they're in it. It could be made a little more stable, widening it here and there, extending out the base a bit, but it takes up a considerable amount of floorspace in the kitchen as it is (the footprint, of course, was much bigger than we expected based on the photos, but everything seems bigger when you get it in your home!), and in a busy kitchen it presents a whole other set of potential hazards for adults.

I'm sure our daughter is going to love it when she's a bit older and we can work with her on using it correctly. Kids are kids - if left to her own devices she would be pushing this thing all over the kitchen and climbing all over it like a jungle gym, and would definitely end up hurting herself - possibly quite severely. Would hate to see a child go down face-first in this thing and unless it's firmly against a counter that is PROBABLY going to happen.

That does bring up one other issue - needs some kind of anti-skid rubber pads on the feet. I know it's nice to be able to slide it around but it's just too easy for little ones to push against the counter and move it back. Or drag it wherever they like...

One note on construction - the parts were a little difficult to assemble here and there. The cutouts in the side for the crossbars to fit into were often not large enough to insert the crossbars (due to uneven veneer runoff into the slots), and I had to use quite a bit of force to get two of them in, but they're not going anywhere now! Also, the box of hardware included a washer for each bolt, which the instructions don't say anything about. Washers are good, though - so I used them. Need to be careful about lining them up though, as they are exactly the diameter of the recessed holes you insert the bolts into, and can damage the veneer as you're screwing the bolts in.

Might need to wait even longer to bring it back into the kitchen, but we'll try it again in six months. I know she's going to LOVE using it, but it will require CONSTANT direct supervision to avoid potential serious injury.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy Step Stool

Update: Loved this so much that I purchased a 2nd one for my 2.5 year old since my 4 year old needed it lowered too much. First step stool is still in great condition. Newest one arrived a bit different than the first. New one came with padding for under the feet and anti-slip tape for the steps. Finish is different as well. Construction of bolts seem better also.

I'd definitely recommend this step stool.
-----
It was fairly quick and easy to build. I had issues with some of the washers fitting into the hole. The instructions aren't very detailed, but was able to figure it out.
It's sturdy, but light enough to carry from bathroom to kitchen.
The top platform is adjustable to 3 levels. Remove the screws and move. The allen wrench be is stored just under the platform making it easy to find.
Wood isn't natural. It has a clear coat, so you wouldn't be able to paint

4.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 stars - we're really happy with this step stool
Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2020
Color: WhiteVerified Purchase
We've been using this for about a month now. My 15 month old loves it. She figured out really quickly how to get in, but still have trouble getting out of it (last step is a bit big for her at this point). She can also move it around to where she want to get to the counter. It's really sturdy despite her dragging it around and stomping hard on the steps.
The only problem we had was with the installation. They instruction do say not to turn the locking screws more than 1.5x times. Of course I did more than that just to be sure, but that dislodged the 2 of the screw locking portions from the wood. Ended up putting glue inside to be able to fully assemble. It has been pretty sturdy so far, hope it says like this. It's just a weird way to lock 2 pieces of wood, and very prone to an easy error. This is the only reason I'm taking 0.5 star away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best investment of 2019

This has seriously been the best money spent this year. My now two year old loves it and uses it on a daily basis. He used to be on my feet, wanting to be held while I prepared meals, but this has changed that. He eats snacks in it, watches me cook, we play with play dough on the counter, you name it. He knows right where to go to get his water, etc. Believe me it’s worth the money and it was simple to assemble and care for. I like that it has “support feet” that run perpendicular to keep him from tipping and the size was more compact than other brands. It doesn’t take a huge amount of space in my kitchen. Can’t praise enough!!

I really appreciate the sturdiness of the product and the price. Use it for my 16mo. old grandson, allows him to be a helper in the kitchen or at a workbench. Stable even when he was leaning over it trying to give the dog his snack (dont recommend tho') very happy with product and is a great help on Gramma's back.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product for the price
Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2022

Product came packaged very well. All parts were wrapped in plastic and nothing had any major damage. Over all it was easy to assemble. However, there were some issues with the screws. The instructions say it recommends using the washers but the washers don’t always fit. Sometimes I could force them in and they damaged the hole a bit (see pic) and there were two holes where I could not get the washer in at all and ended up not using it. There is also a part that is screwed into the bottom of the step and the screw provided was not long enough. Luckily I had a longer screw in my tool bag but if I hadn’t had that it would have been a huge inconvenience. It says the stickers are easy remove stickers but as you can see from the photos they did not peel off easily. I really like the quality of the painted wood, the no slip strips, and how sturdy it feels. I added soft floor protectors to the bottom so it would not scratch our floor. The color is a little more blue then grey but I don’t mind it. Overall I like it and it serves its purpose.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for my granddaughter
Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2020
Color: NaturalVerified Purchase
I bought this for my 19 moth old granddaughter to use when she washes her hands and to "help" grandma when she's making cookies. The stool was packaged fairly well using a bit of styrofoam and heavy cardboard. Fortunately, there were no scratches or such. The instructions are picture only. It comes with some washers, but the pictures don't show using the washers. There's some small print "recommending" using the washers. I did use the washers and everyone should use them. Following the step by step drawings I put the stool together. The hex bolts screw into the wood using pre-inserted threads. A hex wrench is included. There's a storage slot in the wood frame for the hex wrench. Two issues. First, some of the bolts don't screw in easily, but after using a little wd-40 things went well. Second, you can't tighten the bolts too much. Doing so will easily strip the screw heads. The bolt heads are soft metal (brass). This concerns me since I want the platform where my granddaughter stands to be tight and secure. I can see having issues unscrewing the platform to adjust the level as the child grows. I suggest you don't tighten the bolts too tight on the platform. The platform will not not move as long as the frame work is tight. After putting the stool together I think it's very sturdy. As the instructions state, you can't walk off and leave the child unattended. This goes for all stool towers. When it's against the counter (it's purpose) it will not tip forward. I can't see this stool tipping over sideways), but when a child is in any tower stool it will make it top heavy. There are "feet" than give the stool more stability to prevent a sideways tip over. Just watch your children. I like how this stool has a good size first step enabling the child to craw into and out of the tower easily. I would give the stool 5 stars if it wasn't for the bolt issue. I also think there's a better way to attach the platform to make easier adjustments (you have to unscrew four bolts). Overall, it meets our needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars The only way my son will eat at the table; a multi-purpose stool I didn't know how badly I needed
Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2022
Color: WhiteVerified Purchase
I assembled this myself in about 30-40 minutes, and all the pieces are there. My husband was highly skeptical of the stool and thought I jumped the gun too early, but he's a HUGE fan!

I spent a LOT of time reading through all of the reviews, and settling on THIS stool, was the greatest thing we ever did for our highly active now 17 month old son.

We introduced the stool to him at 15 months, and he understood pretty quickly that this allows him to be at kitchen counter level - at sink level - and at eye level with us when at the dining room table. We use this stool for "water play" by the sink to me cooking eggs for the family on a Saturday morning. Around this time, my son started to lunge himself from his high chair that was latched to the dining room table, and this stool was a God send.
He will now only eat while standing in this stool. Even better, we now know when he's ready to eat when we ask him, and he climbs up the little steps and stands proudly in his stool waiting for his food. If he wants to do water play, he will literally move the stool closer to the kitchen, and we help him move it the rest of the way. No more guessing games! When he's done eating, he's finally able to sign that's he's done, but will also begin to climb down the stool stairs. This is also our "coloring" stool, and my son stands and color scribbles at the table; localized mess! I feel pretty safe while my son is standing on this, and never leave his sight, because if your kid likes to dance or rock back and forth in it, I hold onto it with one hand or my foot on the bottom step and it's worked perfectly fine.
THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT!
