Yes. The fine print has a line that states that, and I missed it. The seller should make this far more clear in the post, it was an easy overlook. They work other than that, it just isn't a versatile cord to own if it can't pass power through to a device. In a world of ADHD people that have doom boxes of unlabeled cords where these will ultimately land, future me is going to be annoyed when he grabs this again and it can't solve the problem (again). Not worth the effort to return, they were cheap. Really just posted to get the title out there for others to hopefully see if they missed it like I did!

I find this product hard to rate because it works - (somewhat) and it is inexpensive. Two for what you would pay someone else for one. So why the 2 rating. I had to spend over three hours to figure out how to make this product work for my 4K Fire Stick. I still haven't figured out if it works with my older model stick. Simple directions would have helped significantly. For the 4k Stick, you must first format your USB Memory Stick for FAT32 otherwise the stick is not recognized. How hard is it to include simple instructions telling you to format your stick. I still don't know how to make this compatible with my older stick. This product is inexpensive, and appears to work just fine ... if you know what to do.

I was able to use this connector to add 128GB thumb drive to my firestick. Just a quick note if you're going to add memory to yours, as far as I know the Firestick 4K max is the only firestick that actually shows the added memory in the settings. It will work with other firesticks but doesn't show up in the settings. You can use a file manager to view what you recorded on your added memory card or thumb drive.

1.)Insert the male end of your storage, peripheral, or other USB device directly into OTG USB female end.
2.) Insert the micro-usb from power supply block to female male end on OTG adapter.
3.) Insert the male micro-usb of the OTG cable to Fire TV Stick or other compatible device.
It is really simple!
*Note: If you’re using a USB hub with external storage, ALWAYS PLUG IN THE HUB WITHOUT THE EXTERNAL STORAGE FIRST!! Once the hub is connected you can insert the storage and format/save appropriately.
