This TV clearly has no tuner. It has a tuner option that is not installed making this tv completely worthless to me. What's even worse is a ordered it so that I could have a TV at another location and now I'm going to have to take the time out of my vacation to pack it back up and send it back to Amazon. How ridiculous. You can see from my photo the tuner is clearly not installed.

Bear in mind, this television is very inexpensive. So, for the price, it is fine. However, the base is thin. The remote with the tv is difficult to see what it is, but the really difficult thing: the picture is not great. It is a constant reminder that we bought a cheap television. It DOES work. And the screen is 24 inches, so for the price, it is good. I am glad it was available.

I have a Sceptre TV in my bedroom and it’s great. This prompted me to pay a few bucks more than some comparable TVs and get this unit for my RV. Very disappointed and if I didn’t have plans for a road trip in process, would return item. Volume has to be turned up to 80 to 100 (maximum) to even hear it. With vehicle running you can’t hear it at all. I read reviews on several models with same problem but didn’t see anything on this model or would have passed it by. Packaging was not typical “prime” boxing. Unit was in original tv box with a lot of tape. Ruined the box getting to it. The TV looks good, has really good picture quality. Sound is weak and very tinny. Hate to leave negative reviews but very unhappy with purchase. If trip wasn’t planned and box destroyed, you would get this one back. Hey Amazon, don’t do this to us prime members !!

Honestly, these days, HDTV's have became the standard in all of our homes. But that has left more brands out there which think they do provide better, become more like foreigners, because they are not as much recognized brands as like a company like Toshiba or Panasonic. But also, you have to really do a lot of homework to find the best HDTV for your needs, in height, measurement & quality. SO when it was time for me to seek a new HDTV, after my Sylvania went kaput. I really had to start from scratch in price, and convenience as well. When I went shopping on Black Friday,I did see a simple HDTV from a unknown company called Sceptre. It seemed like a good idea to go for, because the price was simple. But, overall after a few months of using it, I have finally made my choice in reviewing it. The results, are really a few extra bells & whistles that are needed to make it more complete in value.

Sceptre's 24-inch HDTV is simple as a starter HDTV, but honestly it does have a few problems, not in the setup or convenience, because those are very easy to master, but the sound is a different matter. I had found this HDTV to be very easy to setup and fits my bedroom with ease in value. The HDTV does have simple instructions to how to easily hookup the base and you can also connect it to your cable box or HDTV antenna. The HDTV does have the main features setup well, but when you think of the quality of the speakers in the HDTV, they are actually are the biggest flaw. The sound quality from the main speakers in the HDTV are so poor, that you would either have to turn the volume up to 100 to hear your favorite movies & TV shows that you would feel more annoyed, or you would have to consider purchasing a soundbar so you can have better sound. For me, I had to purchase a simple soundbar to make this HDTV work, and feel like the ones I have owned before. After that, the HDTV is one that works better for my value. I think that Sceptre should've consider making more at the beginning for your have the experience of what TV's sounded like from the beginning.

Still, after a few tweaks, Sceptre does have a fairly good, but not crowd-pleasing brand of HDTV's in mind. Still, if you really would like to consider this 24-inch HDTV, you should consider seeking a good alternative set of speakers to get the best for your sound or a nice simple soundbar from a brand like Insignia. I this this HDTV is alright, but at the end Sceptre should've planned more ahead, if they want to go against the bigger guns like Samsung or LG in mind. The company has good visuals, but they didn't think past the tool to control the demands of the eyes really want to hear and see.

I bought this TV to go in my Camper with a 4 year protection plan. The first time I went camping was June 15, 2018, cutoff date for return was June 3, 2018. Wouldn't you know it, the TV did not work! All I could get was a blue screen that said no signal! Thinking it might be the antenna on the camper, I took it home and hooked it up to my Dish network. I got exactly the same thing, blue screen no signal! I read the instructions till I was blue in the face with no avail. I have tried to contact Amazon, which is darn near impossible!!!!! I also have tried to contact Sceptre TV with no luck. I guess I will have to eat the $90.00 I paid for the TV. Does not do any good to buy a 4 year protection plan if there is no one to talk to about fixing or replacing.

Blanks out nearby AM radio with a damping field, no automatic shutdown

Lighter than a picture...incredible difference in weight from older 19 inch LCD TV. Nice picture, sound obviously generated by very small speakers, easy menu navigation to auto tune the airwaves for available stations. Tuner not quite as sensitive or strong as previous LCD, dropouts when hooked to same antenna even though it found the stations, did not try moving antenna because that was best position before switching. Had to revert back to previous LCD due to AM radio interference, completely blanking out nearby AM radio. Since primarily using VGA input as monitor and radio at same time. If you use this as monitor, it does not shut down after computer signal stops, must be shut off/turned on manually. Good price and hope it lasts a long time of non-use, keeping it as a spare.
