... trying to figure out what made this show so good. Probably the real characters and the superlative acting

I've been trying to figure out what made this show so good. Probably the real characters and the superlative acting. I'm going to miss these guys a lot now that I finished the series, but I could even imagine going back and watching it again because I found myself learning Hebrew from it. (Granted I only know how to say "let's get a coffee" or "I'm pregnant" but still...)

But as an American, it also highlighted a whole world I was unaware of -- modern religious young people with modern problems! I didn't know they existed in Israel, I had thought you were either a part of a highly secular society or you were uber-religious and lived somewhat apart, like the Yochai or Rivki characters. Very eye-opening!

Wonderfully Written and Great Actors

Was so lucky to have found this series on Amazon Prime. It was an enjoyable journey into the lives of Religious Israelis, but at the same time, just a wonderful story about characters with passion, interest, love, and complications, living real lives. I wish the series had continued as many have stated, but it was great while it lasted.

A fascinating look into modern Jewish Orthodox life
Verified purchase
I binge watched all 45 episodes over a period of 3 or 4 days. When I finished I felt as if I were leaving my oldest and best friends behind, never to see them again - an unexpected emotion for me, a 75 year old anglo agnostic who was once a nominal Catholic, but who never believed or had an emotional connection to that religion. I think the superb acting and writing drew me into the lives of the characters in a way I've rarely before experienced.

Great Series

I don't know if I would have watched this if I had not heard about the great reviews it received. Such a fascinating visit into the world of the Israelis. It was informative sensitive and funny. I loved the routine to their religious practices and how well it is woven into their lives. They struggle like we all do but there was a lot of "forgiveness" going on. Something we need more of. Great series

I was so happy to see the third season was available

I was so happy to see the third season was available. I love this program and its tale of genuine friendship. The characters have grown and developed, and their stories are compelling. I hope there is a fourth season (because I want Reut and Nati to finally realize they were made for each other.)

I just loved it! Wish there was more to watch. It was different yet the same relationship problems. Does he like me, do I like him? and vice versa. Great writing and acting, plus the lifestyle. Thanks for putting this up Amazon. Great show.
