Works great after I figured out how to sync it to Alexa

The instructions on the box don’t work. After playing with the settings and downloading an app I didn’t need I figured it out. Step 1. Screw it in the light socket and then turn on the power. The light should turn on. Step 2. Go into the Alexa app and choose the devices option at the lower right corner and then choose the “All Devices” option on the upper right corner. From there you will see the new bulb ready to be synced. Please see my attached screenshot for reference.

How to get it working with Alexa if it doesn’t connect sutomatically

Good bulb thus far, however, you have to get it working first.

Was a pain. Instructions on box do not work. Alexa may not find it.

Shows up on smartphone as broadcasting Bluetooth signal.

Sengled app will not help.

Solution: If this happens to you, reset the bulb:
1. Turn on and off 5 times, then turn back on.
2. Wait for bulb to flash on and off by itself after completing step 1. (Mine flashed twice)
3. Ask Alexa to search for new devices.

Bulb should be found at this time.

This worked for me. Hopefully will save you some trouble.

Amazon support through Alexa app script read the usually crap of turning off and back on again. Tried to ask me about and said it’s a smart bulb that is supported in the app, so their script seems to be outdated.

I got the idea from a YouTube video and tried it.

This is an amazing smart bulb. I have lots of smart home devices and plugs etc. but this is the first smart lightbulb that I’ve ordered and I do have to say that the set up process was very simple and easy compared to other devices that I have in my home. It’s a very nice bright level that goes in my side lamp by my plants and lights up the room at a medium capacity not too bright but definitely not dim. I can control it through voice or my iPhone app. I like how I can dim it super low at night or keep it bright for when we are in the room area. Love dimmable lights. I was shocked when I saw that I can dim it up and down from my iPhone because I didn’t know it had that option so that was awesome!!!
Get this bulb. Great price for the bulb and works perfectly! Easy set up!!

I’d give this light bulb 10 stars if I could. Works flawlessly with Alexa, and i didn’t even need to set it up. It flashed ‘new device found’ right away and basically set it up for me. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!! Also, I already had one smart bulb and two smart plugs, and I still can’t get them to work right, I hate them!!! This was AMAZING! I’m gonna return my other ones and get more of these-so happy!

Forget Instructions that come with this Bulb; they are worthless. I paired this Light easily by 1) Screwing the light into a lamp 2) Opening my Alexa App on my Android Phone..selecting the Devices Icon at the Bottom 3) Selecting ADD DEVICE 4) Selecting LIGHT in the List of Devices 5) Selecting Sengled Light...it will take you thru some selections; since this Model Light has a Bluetooth Symbol on it on its base, I answered YEST to that Option. 6) the App searched for the Sengled Light...and when Finished, it found the Sengled Light.

I set it to a group, you can Skip this step...and it works just fine. I wish the Light came in 100W size...this One is Only 60W. It dims down and brightens up on voice Command. When I use Voice Command to ALEXA TURN ALL LIGHT OFF (I have 2 Smart Plugs controlling 2 other Lights) all Lights Tuen off. When I use Voice Command to TURN ALL LIGHTS ON...the Sengled does not Turn on...Bummer; I must Turn it on by Using Alexa Turn On 1st Light (that is the name of the Sengled Light). I will keep at it, if Voice command can turn it Off...it should be able to Turn it On.......

Will not stay connected!!!

Got two bulbs free in a black Friday combo with echo dot 3rd gens and man am I glad didn't pay for them!

Installed both of them in my bedroom ceiling light fixture. Initial setup was quick and painless. I was surprised to see that the bulbs were connected via the 2nd gen echo in the kitchen instead of the echo dot 3rd gen located on my nightstand... or any of the other 3 dots located between my room and the kitchen.

Unfortunately, the next day both lamps were unresponsive. After turning them off and on multiple times to reset, I was able to regain control but only for a short time. They continue to connect to far away devices, although today one did connect to the bedroom dot while the other connected to an echo plus located in the basement.

Strangest of all, tonight when I went to bed only one lamp turned off. I checked the app and confirmed that one lamp was unresponsive while the other was working. Funny that only one was out of contact when these lamps are 6 inches apart in the same light fixture. So much for the claimed mesh network

Later, I moved the lights into the next bedroom, which is even closer to the two devices with which they seem to prefer connecting. Still, they do not want to connect, and will not stay connected if I can get them to connect.

Easiest smart bulb set up ever

I was initially skeptical about the ease of set up claims, but wow, you can't beat this. It came free with an Echo Dot and it took awhile for us to figure out where to use it. I remembered we had a burned out bulb in our backyard and decided to try it. I powered it on and opened the Alexa app, within probably 10 seconds it was automatically recognized by Alexa. No need to click devices and search for a new light. The response time to turn on/off/dim is on par with our wifi lights, maybe even faster. The light is able to illuminate most of our backyard pretty easily as well.

Three weeks in and the bulb is unresponsive, I’ve tried everything and it just won’t work unless I go and turn on the lamp that it’s screwed into. It’s also stuck at 50% brightness, thank god this thing was free. If you want a reliable smart bulb, this isn’t it.

OLD REVIEW:
I got this bundled with my echo dot. I screwed in the bulb and it detected right away. Works well with voice commands and can be dimmed. It’s a nice, warm, yellow light. I’m impressed and would buy more of these.
