This is a quick and easy way to get a DVR with your HD HomeRun tuner. It works instantly with zero setup. You just plug it into your network and everything just works! I was amazed at how easy it was. There are other options with HD HomeRun including Channels, Plex and recording to a PC but this is hands down the easiest.
Now the HD HomeRun app is unique compared to what you'd be use to coming from Cable or Satelite. But it works well and isn't much of a transition. The key I learned is to use a computer to setup your recordings as the interface works best on a PC or Mac. You just search for what you want to record and setup a Task. You can do all this from the FireTV App but it's just not quite as easy without the mouse and keyboard. Also, support for Roku works fine, you just need to install the beta software (at the time of this writing). The user support community is fantastic and the developers are quick to respond to any questions via email or on the forum.
So the short version is, if you're cord cutting and want something that doesn't require lots setup and just works, this is it!

I know... It's an odd title.
TiVo has a VERY polished UI.
HD HomeRun's UI takes a bit to get used to. They don't use the grid guide or a guide like TiVo's guide because they're avoiding royalties. Once you get used to how they do things, it works pretty well.
If you've used HD HomeRun's DVR service in the past then this is a no-brainer if you want to just have a box that just records TV from one of your tuners. There doesn't seem to be any difference that I can tell from running the DVR in this box, on my Mac, or off of an Nvidia Shield. It all works the same.
The box is small and thin (2'5" laptop drive inside). You just plug it into your network and you're good to go.
I'm glad I got it and am happy with the entire HD HomeRun system as it is. I can stream to my TVs, computer, phones.. It just works.

I purchased this DVR to pair with my HD Home Run Connect Quattro and my clear QAM cable TV. I read reviews that talked about how it interfaced simply with other Silicon Dust products. Before I purchased I searched the support forums and read of issues with the client including audio not being in sync with the video, the lack of a grid-style guide and the glitches in the client after the June upgrade but I decided to give it a try regardless.
After a couple of weeks I have reverted back to my old DVR solution. The DVR setup with other Silicon Dust products was seamless. Just as expected, I plugged it into the same switch as my Quattro tuner and ran through the setup. Within minutes it was configured.
The deal breaker for me is the DVR client. It is nowhere near as refined as it should be. In the support forums the Silicon Dust support staff recommend using other hardware and clients (NVidia Shield seems to be the preferred option) to get around the inadequacies of their DVR client. This would be an option for some but not for me as I am already an Amazon Fire TV, Windows PC, Samsung Galaxy and Xbox user. It all seemed great for a few days as I learned the ins and outs of the DVR app. I ran into a few things that I thought were user error but they were repeatable and I soon realized that the client was not going to live up to my expectations.
Perhaps after a major DVR client upgrade I will give it another try but for now my family and I have too many complaints about this product and its' related software.

Works Great. I installed an antenna on my roof used quad shield coaxial wire and grounded the antenna and coax. Installed the 4k unit, 2tb dvr and lte filter. Used pc to install the beta software and updated the units to the latest firmware. Did a channel scan using the hdhomerun setup on pc got 77 channels. I then installed fire stick 4k units in all my TV s and downloaded the homerun apps . Everything works perfect. If you do your research this is a great system.

This Servio was recognized instantly by our HomeRun Quattro and my network. True plug & play! It is easy to program. it would be nice if the interface was updated. Playback was flawless. No buffering at all. Very happy with this purchase.

Easy setup, works awesome! I would like to see it's compatibility with other live streaming TV apps become a reality. It would make this Servio add on to a hdhomerun system a must have for everyone. It would also be a game changer for Silicondust.

This Servio works very well to record shows from our OTA antenna. There was initially a snag in updating the firmware but SiliconDust support responded within a few hours to help me with that issue.
The software works well. I have set it to record entire seasons of favorite shows.
The only thing I don't like about it is when you fast forward through commercials, you cannot see where you are at in the video. If there was a thumbnail preview it would be easier. This is not a deal breaker for me. The antenna pulls in so many channels that the minor fast forwarding issue is not that big of a deal.
