What is the difference in formulas?

Our super strength formula is made with baking soda, while our sensitive skin formula is baking soda free and made with magnesium. We recommend the sensitive skin formula for anyone who has experienced irritation or has generally sensitive skin.

How do I know which formula is right for me/which type do I choose?

If you've never tried a natural deodorant before, a great place to start would be our super strength formula--it's our most popular formula! If you find that you have any sensitivities, our sensitive skin formula is a perfect option to try.

Will SmartyPits stop me from sweating?

Only aluminum-based antiperspirants can swell in the skin and block sweat from exiting the body. Deodorants aren't made to stop sweat--we're proudly aluminum-free! However, our plant-based powders do absorb and wick away sweat.

Why do you give back to breast cancer research?

The creation of SmartyPits was inspired by founder Stacia Guzzo’s mother, a breast cancer survivor. Because of this, SmartyPits is on a mission to help the world go aluminum AND help support the fight against breast cancer, donating 1% of all sales.

I have the world's most sensitive skin and I found out from my breast doctor that Aluminum in regular deodorants gets trapped in my pores causing lumps under my arm pits but NOMO! I absolutely LOVE smarty pits. As a mom I buy it for my pre-teen kids too because they play football and cheerleading and I was always worried about harsh chemicals in other deodorants but let's face it they are starting to smell like little onions. Now I have tried bunch of other natural deodorants and either they smell bad, don't work, or made me sweatier, but smarty pits is truly the best deodorant I have ever used. It smells great (I personally like the travel size so I could try out all the scents before getting the large size, feels smooth, doesn't get on my clothes, and I stay dry all day long (even while on my Peloton bike). Thanks for making such an amazing product Smarty Pits!
