Don’t bother. Aside from being filmed in Beaufort SC, movie is devoid of charm. Lead actor was akin to a fence post. I will never get those minutes back. Seriously DON’T do it.

Pleasant Rom-Com, Well Executed

For a break from a bad news day, or for an enjoyable couples date, Stars Fell On Alabama is ideal.

Most TV shows hope for "six seasons and a movie." Stars Fell on Alabama is a movie with enough possibilities for six TV seasons!

This movie shows a 21st Century South - no racism, no confederate flags (just the Alabama state flag), and no redneck stereotypes (thankfully, and refreshingly). The characters are likeable, and I wanted to know more about their backstories. Production values are strong, with interesting camera angles and montages. Hard to believe this is only the 3rd film credited to the director - we want more!

Fun and entertaining romcom!

Well written, wonderfully acted, and such a fun movie. I highly recommend this movie! I chose to purchase and not rent and I’m glad I did. Fun and feel good. As a southerner the south isn’t portrayed in a “redneck” way.

Disappointing

While not expecting much , this delivered even less . Awkward acting , overly long scenes of valid dialogue , filled with typical stereotypes of southern folk . Most Hallmark movies are better than this one . It did feature some fresh sounding country tunes , though they often felt predictable as well (i.e. "... insert feel good country song here..”. The lead actors were likable and good looking , younger versions of Tom Cruise and Kate Hudson , hope they find more inspired roles for themselves in the future .

The only bright spot in this movie was Taylor Hicks BRIEF performance. Story line and acting was poor at best.

Basically Awful. Time I will never get back.

Shot nicely, but the acting is halting and painful and the script is... not great. If you want some “spot the LA landmarks” fodder, you’ll get your fill with the first scene starting in Beachwood Canyon, then a drive by the original Henson Studios village, and scoping a few studio fronts... But once that passes, you’ll be stuck in the never ending quagmire of cringey forced lines delivered without any believable emotion. I’m all for a cheesy romcom (thus renting this one), but this is just bad. The glowing reviews have to either be paid for or friends of people connected to the production. No way they’re objective reviews. No. Way.

Couldn't watch after 10 minutes

The acting was horrible, the sound quality was like a B grade film and the main leader's pants were so short you could see he didn't have socks on. Seriously?

Cute Rom Com, I recommend catching this for some family viewing fun!

Great rom com. Kinda reminds me of Sweet Home Alabama combined with a bit of Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him To The Greek. Perfect antidote for taking my mind off what’s going on in the world. Soundtrack is great too (and I don’t even like country music.)
