Wonderful show about fighting demons
Verified purchase
I love this series. If you haven't seen it, you really need to start with Season 1 and work your way through. The show is now in its 11th year for a reason....it's GREAT! Sam and Dean Winchester are brothers, traveling the country and fighting demons. The series began with Dean as a young boy and Sam as a baby, when their mother was whisked away by a demon. Dad went demon hunting, Dean looked out for Sam, and the show began. The boys grew up and followed in Dad's footsteps. Even into the 11th year, there are still plenty of demons to fight and enough variety to keep it all interesting.

In Season 10, especially with the awesome blu ray clarity, Dean and Sam, along with Angel Castiel, continue to fight demons, while searching for a cure for Dean's Mark of Cain. Season 10 continues with the same quality as before. Crawley, Mama Witch Rowena, Metatron, and many others travel in and out of episodes. 23 episodes on 4 CDs provide many hours of scary entertainment, even a confrontation with Cain himself. The Winchester boys have also developed their own distinctive personalities.

Whether you believe in demons or not, this series is well done in a believable way in that the characters have emotions and display lots of "human qualities". Special features include: 3 episode commentaries, a memory share from seasons 1 - 9, a preview of season 10 from 2014 Comic-Con, behind the scenes for the 200th episode, (200 EPISODES and counting!), a piece on the Mark and the Blade (a special killing blade goes with the Mark), a piece on Supernatural fans, unaired scenes, and a gag reel.

I have been watching since the first season; I've watched them while living in five different states, living in Korea, Germany and when I missed a season I ordered it to watch them in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan. Hanging out with Sam and Dean is a great time all round and I feel like it's not just a show but that I could actually walk into a bar in some out of the way place, and see them there and I wouldn't even think twice a I pass Sam while he's picking up some beers and walk by Dean as he sits at a table eating a gressy burger waiting for Sam to return with the beers or a dinner with them having coffee at a table and Dean is eatting Pie. It's been a 10 year love and anger relationship as I was so pissed when Bobby died, thought how could they do that TO ME but I stuck with them, especilly happy with some bobby "bring backs" and then they killed Charlie....really sucky duche move, but I survivied it to go on and pre-order 11. It's like a marriage when sometimes you don't like them but you always love them. Sam, Dean and I are a great marriage, but add Cass who is terrific and Crowley who is fantastic.... it's a true love affair. BUT: Please get ridd of Metaton he is the most horrible pece of filler I have ever seen; he's worse than the Gostfacer's and Trickster put together....just terrible nd the fact he is in season 11 just blows.

Quirky and fun series
Verified purchase
I first started watching Supernatural earlier this year. Following the death of my husband, I needed something to just allow me to "escape" every now and then from the overwhelming feelings of loss, and I "found" it watching Supernatural on Netflix. I fell in love with the brother's tenacious sense of family, the quirkiness of the writers' take on everything from monsters to fairies to religion, and the rich and varied characters (although I can't say I like the Metatron character much). I also like the fact that the series doesn't take itself too seriously, and has a good mix of fun with the gore. (Never thought I'd put "fun" and "gore" in the same sentence.) Although I haven't needed the escapism now for some time, I nonetheless continued to watch the series "just because", and several family and friends have also started to watch it. I am finally caught up now (thanks Amazon for season 10), and I will of course be watching how the brothers get themselves out this new threat come season 11. One of the most entertaining series on TV today.l

Okay. They will always get 5 stars from me. But it is nice to see them mature....as much as possible! And I feel I may lose Crowley soon----- I, therefore, treasure every minute with him. Let My young boys ride..... Let the strong men ride..... Riding high in that '67 Chevy..... My Go-To-Boys when my heart is heavy! When I am feeling old, restless and bored .... I fill my old lady's purse with my salt, iron and sword. Yeah.

A Roller Coaster of Fun for Supernatural Fans
Verified purchase
For Supernatural Fans (hey, come on out of your hiding place - you know who you are!) Season 10 is another winner. Just when you begin to wonder what direction Dean & Sam can possibly go to make a season interesting they completely surprise you with a story line that entertains and leads into another season that promises to be one of their best yet. I love all the double entendres along with references to other sci-fi shows, classic horror books and the use of modern technology to facilitate the plot line. Fun to watch - especially the 200th "fan" show - if you aren't hooked then you really don't appreciate the genre!

Absolutely great series!!! Great buy!!!

Absolutely great series!!! Great buy!!! Love this series! Although definitely not kid friendly it is a great adult treat. The main characters are super engaging and you find you can get really emotionally invested. The writers and producers are genius and make each episode its own story. You can easily walk into the series at any point and get enough content information to know what is going on and not feel completely lost. Sam and Dean are thoroughly entertaining and their character plots are quite thought provoking. The content can be graphic at times but not over the top. There are multiple story lines going simultaneously but it's done eloquently so you get just enough critical detail to remember from episode to episode. They offer great previous episode reviews before each new one. The "the road so far" segments viewers can get caught up on crucial details from previous episodes that are relevant to what you are about to watch further deepening your understanding of the narrative. You leave each episode emotional and excited about what is going to happen next. It's easy to get wrapped up in the Supernatural world. I love that the focus isn't targeted exclusively at the monsters but rather the relationship between main characters. It's engaging and thought provoking. I can't wait to watch more!

SUPERNATURAL... you never want it to end!!!!
Verified purchase
I love these guys! It never gets old. Sam and Dean have been fighting, and hunting for ten years now. They have died. They have been resurrected. They have been possessed, by both angles AND demons. They have seen, and done it all. And come what may, they find some kind of answer to the never-ending, relentless, onslaught of unimaginable contingencies. The Winchesters face the supernatural mayhem that goes on everywhere; seeing what the blind 'normals' and unbelievers refuse to see. The clueless, ordinary, people that think their eyes are playing tricks on them, or hiding behind denial. Sam and Dean are the epitome of The Unsung Hero. The actors --along with years of acting together --have formed a bond that has actually chocked me up on several occasions ( yes! That's right! I said it! I have actually been brought to tears by the very powerful brotherly tie that Sam and Dean have that has brought them through perilous times again and again...wow... No wonder this epic run of Supernatural just keeps on rolling. And I fervently hope that it continues to do so. And the other actors that are a part of, or have made appearances on the series are all very talented. I honestly don't remember a SINGLE episode, NOT ONE, that I did not like. Shows like Supernatural, The Walking Dead, and the like have just hit upon that certain... SOMETHING, that is golden...you never want it to end.
