Decent mag, if the subscription wasn't for old issues

Disappointed in this subscription. It's almost March and I just received the December issue. Why do I want Christmas and holiday recipes in March?

Mag seems to have a good amount of recipes and included pictures which is nice.

The timing is just way off. Don't send me your old back issues like it's a subscription. That is a rip-off. Won't be renewing.

Poor Way to Fill New Subscription

Subscribed in mid-December. Advised 1st mag would be delivered by Feb. something. I had no problem with that. I received my first copy in mail on Jan 5. It is the NOVEMBER issue. I find the practice of cleaning out your unsold issues this way to be tacky at best...deceitful is more like it. I am not planning a big turkey feast anytime soon so this issue doesn't even interest me. I will remember this wasted issue when renewal time rolls around.

I used to subscribe to this magazine so I thought I'd give it a try. I am very disappointed in it. There was only one recipe in the whole magazine I would consider trying. Before when I got it, there were always a lot of recipes I liked.

I was disappointed in the issue I downloaded. The recipes were not appealing to me and were more like something I would find in a dieting or health magazine. While healthy is good a whole magazine of nothing but health food isn't appealing to me. Looking at the recipes they use ingredients that I either have no idea what they are, things that I would never buy or not available to me. Maybe this was just the theme for this issue but I was very disappointed. Also there are too may advertisements.

I used to get this magazine back in the 1990's. Really like it at the time as it had some great recipes. Ordered the magazine subscription last year and it took "forever" to get the first issue. Wrote a couple times to question when my first issue would arrive. Finally got the first issue and was disappointed. The magazine is no longer as good as it once was and never knew when I was going to get the next issue. In fact, I think I only got 2 out of the 3 issues I was supposed to get. Luckily it was a cheap subscription so didn't really lose any money, but I did not renew the subscription. Sometimes I wonder if I got the magazine at the wrong time and the issues I got weren't what I was interested in and better ones would come in later issues. Maybe I need to check the issues on the magazine stands and see if there are issues I'm interested in and renew if there is. All I know for sure is that the couple issues I received I was not impressed with.

I really like this magazine, I ended up subscribing to it in print. I've made several recipes from the two trail issues I received and everything turned out delish!

I really like that this magazine doesn't have anything in it but recipes. Plus an all picture index of every recipe in the whole magazine, right up front. No articles to eat clean or healthy or buy some fancy gizmos or stuff.

Just a few of these gathered recommendations that are really ads that help support the magazine. You know the sort? Fancy plates or napkin rings or some sort of kitchen fu. Easily skipped.
