Nice for when I boil whole bean coffee

I boil whole bean coffee in a teapot that doesn't have a strainer on it so I would end up with beans and particles in my coffee cup, so I've been on a search for something that would contain the beans. I wasn't sure about ordering these with reviews that said that they couldn't get the cap off once used, but ordered the two pack anyhow so I could use both of them at the same time to make coffee. They came in good condition and I used them right away. They take being boiled quite well and drain well after I take them out of the coffee. I did find that you have to make sure you thread them correctly which can be a little tricky. When I tightened the lid I went to where it was just snug, then loosened it back about a quarter of a turn. The lid stays on even through boiling and the lid screws off very easily. No more particles in my coffee cup! Now to see how long they last.

Edit: After a year they are still holding up strong just stained from all the coffee I've brewed, love this product!

But finding a simple Infuser able to fit into a cup or kettle, hold enough for an entire pot and one that would not leave pieces of tea leaves behind, was a challenge! This infuser has met all my challenges! No kettle has been found that is too small to drop it into the fill opening, no tea leaves floating in the tea to embarrass me when I serve it to guests, and it is small enough to infuse a single cup. I find it the perfect size, easy to use and clean and well made in every way. Simplicity, and the satisfaction of a perfect cup of tea has won again.

The tight mesh makes so not even small leaf particle escape and it has enough room for the leafs to expand. All around a must but, it's on the small side so I suggest a bigger size if you intend to use for a pot.

Fast delivery is worth five stars by itself but this is amazing quality at even more amazing price when you get two of them. I made coffee in it and may be not as well as paper filter but good enough to send you to work. The threads are positron hydraulic action type, call it anything you want but does not make you miserable like some other cheaper ones. But I did not get any saucer to rest it on, no flying for me I suppose but I leave it in the teapot for all I know. Good buy and good bye.

I bought this infuser set to make thyme tea and so I can add mint to my green tea. The infusers came well packaged and arrived when promised, so for a quick test I ripped open a green tea bag and tossed it in along with a small amount of mint while heating a large mug full of water. After the water boiled, I dunked the infuser and let it steep for a few minutes, added some sugar and enjoyed a wonderful cup of mint green tea.

I love the little drip tray that comes with it, it seems to be the right size to catch excess drippings.
The screw cap is a bit delicate so don't try to over-tighten - a little finesse goes a long way.
Finally, while the top holes appear a bit larger than the others, I've had no problems with debris floating in my tea. I've made thyme tea with a fine-mesh strainer and never had it come out this good.

I purchased this because yet another tea ball broke. This has a screw on lid for secure closure. It's larger than I thought. I can fit twice the amount than the standard tea ball holds. I appreciate the resting plate. The catnip tea I make at night is now twice as strong due to the size of this infuser and helps me sleep. Of coarse one can use less. I don't have to press it in so one could also make it even stronger. With so many things being so low quality, this infuser was a pleasant surprise. I'd give this as a gift. Also can be used to infuse a soup with herbs that one doesn't want in the final product. I may use it with bay leaves next time I make a stock.

I got this to replace the tea filter bags. Great infuser with fine mesh, does the job. Good for 1-3 people if you use it in a pot. I’ve had it for a few days so can’t comment on its durability yet.
Edit: Be very careful when handling the small holder tray, it has very sharp edges, gave me a deep cut while I was washing it. That’s a design flaw. I think I can do without the tray from now on.
Edit2: Durability: it fell apart after 6-7 months. I think that’s kind of acceptable given that I used it almost every day.

Very fine mesh so very good for catching the tiniest bits of loose leaf teas. They're a bit light so often float a bit when water is added to the cup, but if you hang on to the chain it's ok. They feel quite thin and the sides bend under slight pressure so be careful screwing the tops on too hard. Very pleased with them overall. I wash in dishwasher absolutely fine.

As a loose leaf tea lover, I've been using an over-the-cup strainer for years but it was a mess to clean up. After careful review of dozens of options, I purchased this set of 2 infusers. I am really HAPPY with this purchase. I got 2 sets for the price, and they do a fantastic job of keeping loose tea from clogging up the teapot and my sink. The sides have hundreds of holes so take care that you don't squeeze the sides too hard, but they are very easy to handle and clean. They are suitable for my large teapot and also my small "tea for one" set. They will float in the teapot but they have a short chain with a hook on the end, so I wrap the chain around the teapot handle and hook it to keep the infuser submerged. The top screws on and off very easily. It also comes with 2 holders onto which you place the infuser.

The ONLY trouble I have with this set? The hook gets caught on my dish drain after washing it up, but I exercise my patience and carefully unhook it. No problem!

I would HIGHLY recommend this set, especially for the great price, and in fact, I will purchase this for my loose leaf tea drinking friends and relatives as a holiday gift.
