One benefit of using a HDMI switch to connect the PC to the TV is that when switched to another device, the PC is disconnected from the TV. I now no longer have windows accidentally opening on the TV screen while I'm using the TV for something else.

When I want to view something on the TV I just press the switch and the PC automatically reconnects to the TV. There is only a couple of seconds delay while readjusting the display.

I am also pleased that my (smart) TV remembers the different picture settings for each device but this might vary depending on the TV. I thought its worth mentioning in case someone else was wondering.

The build quality is good and it comes with an integrated HDMI cable so I didn't need to buy another one.
