The pH pen came with out the calibration solution, but after vigorously researching how to calibrate the TDS&EC Meter I came up with nothing. I tested the EC meter and it was about 100 ppm below the calibration solution at 77°F. The only thing that I could find is that the TDS & EC meter was factory calibrated.

The customer service was actually awesome, because when I initially gave them a one star rating I was contacted by a representative from the #VIVOSUN and I was offered a new TDS meter for free. It really says a lot about a company that will reach out to their unsatisfied customers for a combo set that cost about $15.

I also tested a glass of water 3 times over an hour and got 3 differient readings.
First time it read: 5.52ph
Second time it read: 5.69ph
Third time it read: 5.72ph
It may not seem like much but that can be a BIG difference depending on what youbwere needing an accurate ph reading for.
I bought this because if my 2 year old "Jellas" brand was working properly. But it still gives the same read out (6.2ph) as it did a week ago on the same water.
I don't like the style of calibration either. I've only ever seen the type where you turn the little screw on the back and dial it to read what the buffer solution should be.
How do I know what is pre-programed onto the memory circuit is accurate in the first place?
And what if I only have a 4.0ph and a 6.86ph pack of buffer solution? Does that mean I can't calibrate unless I have all three?
Not cool. I like being able to calibrate with just one or two calibration levels, if that's all I have on hand at the time.
I'm going to try another brand.
I don't trust consistency with PH readout.

Straight out of the box it's not calibrated. It reads a mixed up pack of 6.86ph buffer solution as 6.50ph. See my picture.Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2020

pH Meter stopped working in less than 4 months

First the pH meter started blinking out occasionally, then I would only get four zeros instead of a reading, today it finally just stopped working. I am disappointed.

I will be using the other pen when it comes time to flush before harvesting time though! Some people get by without using these, but I think they suffer in yield because of it. To maximize potential it is important to pay attention to all details like this. It is not necessary to pay an arm and a leg for an expensive tester for me, so these are the perfect solutions!
This is a must-have for any gardener, and I choose to think of it as insurance. If you do not use them, then one small mistake can end up being very costly! For the low price, I recommend everyone to purchase these to be safe versus sorry.

I bought these to keep track of ppm and ph specifically and they work great! I use them for exotic gardening and it is extremely important to monitor these things. I have tested both pens, but I use the ph pen every day to make sure that I am at a proper level for nutrient-uptake.Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2019

have used bluelab equipment but those are garbage now... less than a year old both ph and ppm meter went bust... I can't afford to spend another 300$.. so I thought I could save few bucks and go with some cheaper ones with good company , thought I could count on VIVOSUN equipment , because the vv lighting stuff works great along with their tent, on the other hand unfortunately these meter are garbage meters from wish i do believe with company name... unfortunately those are pure garbage as well!!! Ppm won't calibrate thus readings are tremendously off as picture shows. As well as the ph meter is very off too. Try to calibrate it to no aveil... that'll teach me to go cheap... lol never again..
