Giving up Wasa was the hardest thing about the celiac diet. I mean, you can find gluten-free bread and pizza and brownies now, no problem. But no Wasa, at least not in the US. I did get the overseas version of gluten-free Wasa, but it tends to break up in shipping, and it's expensive.
So when I ordered this I expected it to be like the European version. It's not. The crackers are a bit thicker, are "puffier" (more bubbles) and the flavor is perfect. They seem more "robust" and don't break accidentally or fall into pieces while you are eating. But they are not TOO hard and easy to bite.
Even better, they are packaged in cellophane in sets of 3 crackers, so it's easy to toss one in your bag or lunchbox. Unlike most breads, Wasa crackers are tasty as is, without toasting. And they don't require refrigeration.
I like them with butter and jam. Or a leaf of lettuce, mustard, thinly sliced onions, and liver sausage. Or a couple of slices of bacon and an egg over easy. Or dip in hummous for a snack.
The order came incredibly fast too, within 2 days.

Thank goodness WASA and Amazon offer gluten free options. I happen to really like dry hard crackers. These are wonderful for soft cheese spreads and dips. I always keep a box in the car when we're traveling so that I when we got out to eat I have something akin to bread as an appetizer. In a pinch they are also great for breakfast w/peanut butter and jam. I have celiac disease so eating GF is not an option for me but a necessity. I'm glad I can buy WASA GF crackers in bulk from Amazon.

I don't actually have a problem with gluten, but my wife does. We found these Wasa gluten-free crispbreads when travelling in Scandinavia a few years ago. I've eaten Wasa before--they're generally OK. These were far superior to others I've tried--light, crispy, and nice tasting. I got my sister in Germany to send us packages of them, as they weren't available in the U. S. But about a year ago Wasa US has started selling them....and I'm delighted. I won't bother with the other Wasa--these are well worth trying, whether you have a problem with gluten or not.

Love these crackers! The size is perfect for adding toppings on top. I have often replaced GF bread for thses crackers. In each box, there are individual packages which contain 3 crackers in each package. The individual packaging keeps the crackers fresh. I like to top my crackers with cream cheese and vegetable slices. I've had both the sesame ones from this company and the original/plain GF ones. Both taste great, but I like the sesame better. I have to hide these crackers in the home because everyone loves them and a whole box can disappear in minutes if I leave them out on the counter. I've also served these with a cheese spread when my friend came to visit. She loved these crackers too. These are my favorite GF crackers!

2. Is crispy and sturdy enough that it doesn't break when trying to spread butter (and only 10-20% of the toasts in the package came broken - that's actually really good compared to other brands).
3. Tastes like heaven! We are addicted to these!

Since I've had to go gluten-free, I've really missed crisp bread. Although rye was always my favorite, it's now off my diet (Celiac Disease), so I decided to try the sesame seed and sea salt bread. And guess what? It's delicious! I"m so pleased with it. It's a little on the hard side, but with a little cheese and maybe a thin slice of ham, it's almost as good as the rye Wasa. The only downside is that you do have to buy quite a lot of it at a time (well, that's not a downside to me, but if you're not sure and just want to give it a taste, it's kind of risky) and that a few of the boxes had broken bread slices in them, but none were pulverized to crumbs. I recommend you give it a try if you're a Wasa fan.

I had found this Wasa bread only once at Big Lots and loved it. However Big Lots only has products once then no more. I was so glad to find that Amazon had this. Now I am stocked up for awhile. You can eat these plain or with cream cheese, peanut butter or whatever you like on them. They do not have the awful texture that you sometimes find with gluten free products. Don't want to be without. Only 50 calories per cracker!!

As someone with Celiac disease and GF for 12 years it has not been easy over this las decade + to find a good tasting cracker. I was fearful this might have the consistency of shredded wheat. Nope, I was wrong. I like the like and trust me, I am very picky. I eat them with soup or alone, but mostly I spread tuna salad on them and it is yummy. The cost at the local grocery store here in Los Angeles is $6, this is a better buy.
