5.0 out of 5 starsYou wont find a better, more dependable wireless earbud even 3x this price point.
Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2018
I just got my FiTerra True Wireless Earbuds and I after using them all afternoon I decided I had to write a review. What you need to know: I’m on an iPhone 8, these are my third pair of wireless earbuds, I listen while exercising, working in the house and outside.

The sound quality is excellent. Whether listening to the rhythmic base of Sheppard’s “Geronimo”, Dean Ray’s steel guitar, Brandon Flower’s flying vocals, Sia, B.O.B., Kong’s of Leon, or any other of a number of artists, the sound quality holds up. I noticed no cracking or popping that I even hear with my wired earbuds. The base is comparable to my $500 over ear headphones.

The user interface deserves a shout out. Syncing was a cynch, and the audio cues “power on” “connected” “secondary pairing” were very helpful. In fact, I have another pair of earbuds that were several hundred dollars, and I am never sure if both earbuds are connected, one, or neither.

The pairing between the FiTerra earbuds is rock solid, which I’m pleased about because reliable pairing is a problem with my other pair. No fading sound or random disconnects by the secondary headphone. At this price point the FiTerra earn the 5-stars.

I forgot to mention that I’ve been listening for over 4 hours and the earbuds are still going strong.

I’ll write an update in 3 or 4 months.

2.0 out of 5 starsComfortable, but sound quality is bad
Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2018
I used these for a week in OBX and got a good variance of use (walking, bike riding, exercising) and while these are comfortable and easy to use, the sound quality really suffers.

1. Comfort: These are the most comfortable in ear headphones I've ever worn. They fit very nicely and (almost) never fall out. The only time they didn't want to stay in was this morning when it was raining and I was walking to work. My ears don't sweat so they do stay in while exercising.

2. Ease of use: They are very easy to use. I've seen questions where folks have stated only one ear bud works. Make sure you turn both ear buds on! You must turn them on individually. I'm still learning the button functions on each bud; I press one and the music stops but sometimes it takes a few presses for the music to continue.

3. Charging/battery life: So far these have only died on me once. This was after fully charging the pod and letting it charge the buds several times. I can't recall the amount of hours I got out of it, but it was acceptable. Charging is really easy and the pod is pretty convenient. The lid is magnetic so unless you drop it, it won't fall off.

4. Sound: This is where this product falls smack on its face. The sound quality is very poor. The bass is almost non-existent, and what bass does exist is very muffled. There is a constant crackling/gritty/static noise while music is playing (doesn't really happen during podcasts). It sounds very cheap, even for a pretty inexpensive pair. Sound quality is huge. You can have the most comfortable, easy to use headphones on the market, but if the sound quality is bad, the rating goes down the tubes. This is a shame because everything else about these ear buds are pretty good.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Design; missing the basics

Reviewed @ $55
Let me start off the review saying this, I have only had these now for a little under a week, so these are just my initial findings. I am coming from a Hopday pair of bluetooth headphones that finally crapped out. Those are in the 20-30 dollar range, so I had big expectations from a 55 dollar pair.

Pros
-awesome design; these fit snugly in your ear. This is coming from someone who has very tiny ears and ear canals naturally, and generally I can't use headphones that don't have over ear support. However, these fit in snugly and are a comfortable wear.
-On earphone buttons are intuitive and easy to use. (one complaint in cons)
-Easy pairing process
-Slick designed case

Cons:
-I wish there were volume controls on the earphones themselves
-Biggest complaint is the sound quality. These have really great bass ends, but they struggle as soon as you have any substantial treble (think cymbals + vocals). They have a rattly sound that would be heard in low budget headphones that had been blown-out. This is big turn off for me as many of the types of music I listen to (alternative, punk, metal) feature these.

All in all these are good headphones if they pulled the price down a little. If they can't get basic sound right, then I think they will need to bring down the price.

I can't believe the good reviews on this product. I have had it less than one month and it no longer works! The left earbud doesn't work at all and the right one only flashes a red or blue light but does not work. You can tell that a product isn't very reliable when you try to get support help and no one is available. They don't list a phone number and the only way to contact them is by e-mail, which I did, but they do not reply. That should tell you that they don't support or believe in their product and could care less about supporting their customers. Also, they have a troubleshooting statement on the literature in the box, but it doesn't fix the problem. Obviously many others have had the same problems. I will never buy from this company again !

1.0 out of 5 stars Only 1 connects at a time.

I'm very frustrated, because I thought these were much better (sound quality & fit) than the Apple Airpods. They used to work great, BUT ... after connecting them to two devices (iPad & iPhone) I can get neither device to work with more than one earpiece at a time. I have 'forgotten' the headphones on both devices and tried to pair them together and individually. There seems nothing I can do to make them work together on a device again. The bigger issue is, I can't find anything about this manufacturer on the internet to try to get support. I will be returning them.

2.0 out of 5 stars Okay so far but a little disappointing when it comes to calls.
Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2018

The main purpose for purchasing these was to be able to talk on the phone without a wire to get snagged on things. That often happens and my phone ends up on the ground. I also wanted earbuds that enabled me to hear a caller in both ears. My right is not as good as my left so having sound in both makes calls clearer. Overall I'm not that impressed. I have found that the mics do not appear to have any noise canceling ability. I've tested them and they pick up ambient sounds very well. So far the call quality is good on my end though it seems to fade in and out sometimes. On the other end, those I'm talking to seem to want me to speak louder. Music does sound good with these. That gets 4 stars but unfortunately I'm not a big music listener. They paired easy but I did have to re-pair the buds to themselves once. They fit well and stay in. I like the design and the small chargeing case. But only 3 stars guys. They need better mics.
Update: I've been using these for over two weeks. The sound quality is good for music and other media but terrible for phone calls. It constantly fades in and out when listening to a caller's voice. They're practically unusable for phone calls.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent earbuds but horrible noise canceling

The sound quality of the earbuds are decent, I’d say 3.5. The fit is good and fairly comfortable if worn for a long period of time. The battery life is on par with most earbuds like AirPods. They don’t come close to the Powerbeats, but the PB are not as compact. My biggest gripe with these earbuds are the noice cancelling feature is unnoticeable. I have not experienced any of the feature when listening to music. I purchased these so I can wear them when I ride my motorcycle to minimize the wind noise and be able to use my com unit. But it doesn’t make a difference at all. It would be more comfortable to wear ear plugs. Definitely not in the same time zone as Bose or Beats Studio. But they work as regular Bluetooth earbuds.

3.0 out of 5 stars At $50, these are ok. Mediocre battery life
Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2018

Edit - knocking off a star. I am lucky to get 2 full hours out of these now.

I bought these for listening to music (and drowning ambient noise) on the train each day. The sound quality is very good, though they are not particularly loud. I don't know any technical information about the "noise canceling" feature, but they do block sounds around me much better than my other bluetooth headphones. They fit very well and feel very secure; I was a little worried about them falling out before they arrived but not at all anymore.

In terms of bluetooth connectivity, my experience is that they are very good but not excellent. Again, better than other bluetooth headphones but there are occasions when the sound drops out.

The only real negative is the battery life. I listen at a pretty high volume and if I'm using them for music and phone (switching back and forth), I won't get 3 hours out of them. Though it is very convenient to put them back in the case and have them start charging immediately.

For my main use and the price I paid, they are great. I haven't flown with them yet but I know I'll need a second set of headphones for anything but short trips, which is annoying. Overall though, they are a great value and I would definitely buy them again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Won't charge - Would never recommend this product to anyone and zero stars wasn't an option.

My wife purchased this for me as a gift. When I received them I found them very comfortable to wear and the volume and noise canceling were awesome. Problem is that the right earbud would not charge. I returned it, Amazon sent me a replacement and again, the right earbud would not charge. I went online and sent a letter to the company telling them about the situation. They sent me a replacement pair and low and behold, the right earbud does not charge.

I have tried everything from plugging the charger case into a USB charger while trying to recharge the earbuds. I have put the right earbud in by itself and tried to charge it. I have turned it on and off before trying to recharge. Last time I charged it I had a full blue LED and when I went to use the earbud, it said battery low the moment I turned it on. I essentially own a left earbud that works amazing and a totally useless right one. After 3 pairs I have decided to fully give up on RL Audio.

I am truly disappointed because like I said, the sound quality was amazing and they felt great. I never had them fall out at the gym but in the 3 months, I have tried using them I have only been able to get both of them charged about 5 or 6 times. Very disappointed, I hope RL solves the issues with charging but unfortunately for me, I'll spend more money on something that works consistently.

2.0 out of 5 stars What Noise Cancellation or Battery life?

So for those of you who dont want to spend 1/2 your time charging these to get the 2-3 hours of usage they provide keep looking. I waited to review these for a while because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt...no benefit here. The sound is pretty good though. However the Noise cancellation wasnt really even noticeable. And the battery life really was, just in the wrong way- as in gone/dead if I was listening to music for 2 hours it was over 3 hours at best when brand new and deteriorating from there. too bad, I had high hopes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great sound....when it's not cutting out
Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2018

I really liked these earbuds when I opened the package. They fit great and stay in better than any earbud that I've ever had. I charged them and paired with my phone and was really surprised at how great they sounded. I was extremely happy with my purchase.... then I went to the gym and it all changed. I leave my phone on a window seal in the gym while I'm working out. When I get across the gym, the phone starts cutting out like it's too far away to connect. It's no more than 50 feet away from the phone. I can be even closer and bend over to pick some weights up and it will cut out. I'm talking like 20 or 30 feet away. It also cuts out if I put my phone in my back pocket while listening to music. As long as I don't bend over and I keep my phone right with me, the ear buds work just fine. Wireless is kinda worthless if I have to keep the phone in my hand all the time.
Update: Had to send them back. The right earbud wouldn't connect. My phone would show that it was paired with two different FiTerra but only the left would have sound. I have a new pair on the way...hopefully they will be better.
