I don't often review BUT this is SO GOOD
I have enjoyed binging this today! So good, great production, loveable characters... A little something for everyone and like so many families of every culture these days. Family dynamics are universal! I hope there is a Season 2! Oh and great pacing to have the episodes around the holidays. I think it's great to see how Latin X culture is represented in this Great American Romcom!

Offensive just from the picture.
What the hell is this? Far left film has all the leftist check marks filled. White woman/black male, black woman/white male, a gay couple and who knows what the guy in the front right is. Please stop producing content like this. At least stop trying to advertise this offensive stuff to me. That's right! Offensive. It is unacceptable and it is very offensive. Just stop already.

More than what I expected
This show was way more than what I expected, it put me through so many emotions. Representation is important and wished I had seen this growing up but glad I able to enjoy it now.

Multi generational Latino family is loud,
messy, charming and they love large. These are people you will enjoy getting to know.

Lily & Jorge are the two grown kids in the family. He’s gay and finally found his person and she’s still looking for hers after a breakup. The grandparents, aunts & uncles and parents are totally over involved in their lives and they in theirs; typical for Hispanic families.

Five episodes gather around holidays: Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day, July 4th, Dia de la Muerte and the many relationships in the family, WITH LOVE and otherwise. As the episodes progress so do the relationships. This series is all about relationships and family. There’s some cultural information but not much and there’s not much political snark involving the gay/trans characters. The vibe is mostly positive and loving even with broken and difficult relationships. That aspect is refreshing!

Production value is good, and so is the score. There’s not much challenging about the cinematography as most of the scenes are between two or small groups of people. The few large group or party scenes were well done as were the outdoor scenes. A fine ensemble cast delivers the stories as if they are truly their own.

Trying too hard and full of stereotypes as well as highly cheesy and depressing!
This show is a waste of time! It is trying too hard to appeal to the Latin community and is packed with stereotypes on this, it’s a miracle the characters don’t wear sarapes and sombreros! It also tries way too hard with gender diversity! Overall is depressing, there is no excitement and you keep watching waiting for it to speed up and become more engaging but it doesn’t happen! Physically, many of the characters look more African American or Indian than Mexican or Cuban, although that might not be a big issue but hard to understand who is what in the beginning. Definitely don’t recommend!
