If you can believe it, we started out in 1874 canning sardines. But to our founder, Jasper Wyman, there was just something about the Wild Blueberry barrens surrounding his Maine cannery that compelled him. Eventually he realized you can package a sardine just about anywhere, but Wild Blueberries were unique to his little corner of the world. By 1900, Jasper had turned his focus towards that native wild resource, and over the next century the Wyman family acquired thousands of acres of barrens across Maine and Canada. Today, Wyman’s is in its fourth generation of family ownership and is one of the leading growers, processors and marketers of Wild Blueberries on the planet.

I couldn’t find any article of wine or mead brewers using freeze dried fruit. Only a forum asking if anyone did. Note watch out read labels closely some are freeze dried juice or concentrate and not fresh fruit like there labels make it seem. As anyone who makes Mead with quality honey and fresh fruit prices gets high fast and this saved me $ and at 2 months old flavor has me thinking this will be my best blueberry mead. I did 2 packs in 6 gals at rate of 3pounds per gal honey; standard rate yeast energizer and pectin enzyme. And know blended with some whole milk taste dang good too Wyman’s 👍
