These Rescue Figure, 8 Descenders are made very well and work excellent for the purpose I bought them which is flying Huge Show Kites! They help in launching my kites in a smooth manner as if I was using them for descend into a chasm on a rescue call. As a retired veteran Firefighter, I know quality when I see it & wouldn't hesitate to use these Figure Eights in a climbing/rescue capacity.
