The “needles” are like garland. The stand is by plastic. I don’t know what the branches are but they bend like metal. I ordered a pink one but its more like fuscia. Its a very cute tree!

The way this stand fits i to the slots I'm not sire a metal stand would work. The stand that comes with it is super sturdy. I was pleasantly surprised with it.
