"Open can and slowly add 1/2 cup of water. Sprinkle 7-10 basil seeds and mix into the top 1/4" soil. Repeat for cilantro and mint in separate cans.

To start out, add 2 tsp of water to each can every other day. Gradually increase to 2 tbs every other day by week 5. More water may be needed as plants continue to grow." see less

Yes, they can be used in treats. Dogs can eat fresh mint leaves. Mint is a family of plants, not just one specific type. People use the peppermint and spearmint variety of mint the most, and both of these are safe for dogs to eat.

I was afraid to buy it because of the reviews but I really liked the idea so I took a chance. I had no moldy seeds, no moldy dirt, the packaging was fine and within 7 days I had a lot of cilantro and basil coming up. I have a couple mint leaves coming up but they are a little slower than the other two. I would recommend.

The package actually says, Organic Mint-Lemon Balm. I have Lemon Balm in my outdoor garden. It looks like Mint, but smells like Lemon. So actually, the seeds are neither spearmint, or peppermint--but Lemon Balm.
