Turn the bottom around and use the other side. One side is for feed…other side for water.

Yes, yes. You can use this with crushed shells to feed the chickens, AND to feed the chickens.

Yes, I think it would work for baby ducks. I use if for baby chickens. They often stand on it and poop (plan on washing often with soap and water, rinsing well). I like this waterer as they can't drown like they would in a larger dish.

That's kind of up to what you think but I will tell you that my 4 three week old chicks go through the water in about two days. They also crowd around it to get the water because the tray that holds the water is a little narrow and sometimes they struggle to get to it.
