I know they said a year. I can tell you I have had mine hooked up for about a month now, and the battery gauge has not moved at all... so I am hopeful!

Yes. you can set the motion detection feature to "snooze" for various amount of time. you can turn off/on motion alerts, motion detection, etc. Open the RING app, click on the menu icon (3 horiz. lines in upper left corner). Select "devices", then your device (e.g. "step light"). The Bridge is available separately as well as it is also available via bundles sold. However, if you purchase just the Steplight, it does not come with the bridge.

Only if you want the lights to communicate with your system. You do not need a bridge to add cameras.

Answer:
Yes, it can be used without the hub because it is battery powered and activated via motion detection. It auto-offs after a few seconds so there's no need to control it in the app
