depending on the item, if any part of it is no longer operating properly, and it cannot perform the intended function, then the protection plan will probably cover it. certainly worth checking with Asurion to confirm. they've been very helpful to me in the past.
This is a insurance protection plan and you need to read the plan that is the only way you will know if it is covered and sounds like your are talking about how your product looks cosmetically, again you must read the protection plan or go into the website and call customer service hope this helps.

I really don’t know did you order it with ur purchase if so u have to call them it was only a few bucks got 4 years on a pair gloves so I was like y not I still haven’t even used the gloves or the warranty
It is good to insure any product that you purchase for your home. If Asurion offers a plan for your product, it's beneficial to get the protection plan they offer.
Do not buy this, they make a big deal every time you want to use it, but yes, if they sale it while you buying the smart plugs you can use it. I would not buy it…
It states batteries and light bulbs are consumables and not covered. I would question why did they fail? The reason they quit working might be covered. Open for debate possibly
