Yes. Be sure you have the keyboard connected to your operating system. I use Windows. I have to use function keys as part of my work and they work just fine. NO Fn key needed.

Mine seems to time out after about a minute and most of the time becomes unresponsive. I'm really considering buying the wireless version of this instead as the actual keyboard is excellent.

Varies, sometimes a second or two. Other times I need to wait almost 30 and turn the keyboard off and on to get it to connect again.

I have a prev version of this (exactly the same design, just with a USB dongle for connection). I’m really hard on keyboards and this one held up for 2.5 years. I’m just coming back here to buy a new one.
I travel a lot and over time the slim keyboard bowed very slightly under packing pressure.

I travel a lot and over time the slim keyboard bowed very slightly under packing pressure.
I used this at least 40hrs/week on average. Hardly ever needs charging.
The A and S keys (I use a lot) have only just started to show wear but the only reason I need a new one it that the space bar has become trigger-light so spaces appear randomly when typing.
Best testimony is that I’m buying a new one. see less

Once connected, it show as Bluetooth 3.0.

Yes, it will work with all bluetooth version including version 4.2.

Yes I use it with iTunes and and other apps across all mine have it on 3 different devices windows laptop and Mac Pro and iPad
